It works. Used on my Stop. Found a better way to apply it. I used my heat gun to melt the compound just a little. Goes on in a semi liquid form. Spread it around on the strop and get much better coverage. Few passes with my knife and it looking real good.

I sharpen my plane irons and chisels on diamond plates, up to 1200 "grit". I then use the green compound (supposed to be coarser than the white) on a strop with the rough side of the leather up - it's softer surface polishes a greater width of blade. It works well to put a very fine edge on the tools.I was going to use the white on a strop with smooth side up, but it is very hard, difficult to apply to the leather. After rubbing it on the leather for a while, I tried stropping with it, and it does seem to give the leather a bit more tooth, to put a final finish on the blades. But I finally just used the green compound on the smooth strop, and gave up on the white altogether.Still, even if you only use the green compound, it's a decent price for a good amount of honing compound -- it should last you a good while.

Easy to use and rub on a strop. Grits are perfect for the final edge on a sharpened knife. Will buy again.

Works good

Ordered these compound bars to use on my bench grinder polishing wheel to help fine tune knife blades. Each bar has a different grit and work great. Will be ordering again.
