Most dogs just do not like having their teeth brushed and mine is no exception. My beautiful little Lhasa recently had to have an anaesthetic for a clean, scrape and extraction of a few teeth because she won’t let me clean her teeth. I found this water additive and give it to both my 11 year old dog and 10 year old cat. I’m hoping this will protect their teeth to avoid further issues with their teeth.

Super simple to use although I can’t say I’ve noticed a huge difference! Works better for my cats but I think my dog can taste it so have to put less in his water.

I’ve only been using this for three days but at least my two boys (cats) are still drinking the water. My boys are BIG water drinkers so I was uneasy in case they would be shocked at the inclusion of this. However, so far so good? I even went straight in with the recommendation of a cap-full. You could just introduce it gradually though? Obviously too soon to tell if it cleans their teeth but just wanted to say that they don’t find it abhorrent.

As some earlier reviewers have noted, my cat did not want to drink her water when I followed the instructions on the bottle and put one whole cap full into her water bowl. However, I thought to try adding only a few drops at first and gradually built up the amount as the days went on. This seems to have worked and she happily drinks her water now. So perhaps with a cat, don't go for the full cap full straight away if they realise something is a bit odd about their water. Gently, gently build it up to the required amount over the days and weeks. And they will get used to it and accept the taste. It's too soon for me to know how much good this has done for my cat's teeth and gums just yet. I will find out when she next goes to the vet!

Give to our 14 year old dog every day. Definately improves the smell of his breath. He didn't mind the taste in his water and it doesn't upset his sensitive stomach.

Doesn’t work. Dog’s breath still smells, no visible plaque difference. Just makes their water smell like the pink liquid they give you at the dentists to wash your mouth out with. I bought the Arm and Hammer one last time and that worked fine so I’ll be getting that one next time! 0/10, wouldn’t bother.

Works at keeping the mouth clean, but he will still have to have his teeth cleaned. No smell or taste.
