Kohler cv20 engine is not starving for fuel, power ok for 46 inch craftsman mowernot a fan of plastic but it's doing the job.

May not work well on engines installed on larger Husqvarna produced riding mowers
This pump appears to be of superior quality to the original pumps found on both Kohler and Briggs & Stratton V-twin engines installed on lager Husqvarna riding mowers, which includes those marketed under Craftsman, Snapper brand names, and others having their fuel tank filler on the mowers rear fender. The issue for failure to work is resultant of design flaws in both the engines and the mowers. To generate 2 psi of pressure the pump relies on a pulse created by engine crankcase pressure. Unfortunately there is no guarantee that pressure is within the range to properly activate the pump as the pressure is dependent upon oil level in the crankcase and the integrity of the dipstick O-ring seal. The location and shape of the fuel tank creates a major issue as the fuel line is connected to the tank below the engine meaning the fuel pump gets no gravity flow assist one the tank is less than half full meaning the pump must lift fuel over a distance of roughly 15 inches and 6-8 inches upward on its own while overcoming poor tank ventilation at the fuel cap. All and all a combination of engineering designs born to fail. A low pressure electric pump designed for 13.5 vdc application would be a much better idea.
