Atlantic British Ltd.Upper Rear Tailgate Struts, Set of Two ALR1050 for Range Rover P38 (1995-2002)

They certainly work fine but they're worse than the originals I was replacing. The upper tailgate opens 80% of the way and then stops. After a minute it'll continue and finish opening all the way. In the meantime this puts the upper tailgate right at my forehead level and I end up pushing it all the way open so I don't have to stoop. The only reason I was replacing my existing ones were the connecting clips were a bit rusted and for $20 I thought why not.Slowly the hydraulic arm does appear to be loosening up but for anybody reading this review you can do better for the same price. I'd search this part number look for Bearmach or OEM, sourced from lrdirect, and not Britpart. It's my understanding that Birtpart's a repackager and doesn't make anything themselves. I've found that sometimes their stuff is fine and sometime's you end up re-replacing your parts over again.

21 year old RR P38 - old struts worked in warm weather but not in winter. Very easy fix and now the hatch opens so fast, be careful not to get hit in the face on the way up. This should settle down with a bit of age. I recommend these for the P38.

Besides super fast shipping to Hawai’i; the struts were packaged well, easy to install (less than 5 minutes), and most of all—they work perfectly! What more could you ask for? Very satisfied.

These worked perfectly for my 2001 P38 Range Rover. Restored the upper tailgate to like new and now opens up on it's own again and holds strong. Would recommend!
