Beginner Electric Guitar Lessons: Book with Online Video & Audio

The book is shockingly thin. But don't let that get in the way of learning. There is a download address on page 5. I downloaded it and looked at the videos. I watched half of the first video. The style of Peter Vogl is slow, clearly, methodical and he talks plain and clear. I think this will be a good beginner course. I ordered the second book.

Bought this Beginners Electric Guitar Learning Book for my nephew who is learning to play the Electric Guitar. It was a Christmas Gift a couple of Months back. Thank You for the Learning Guitar Book, I greatly appreciate the Business.

I’m honestly getting tired of how many things we buy these days arrive broken or defective, and this book is yet another example. The copy I received looks like it was printed on a home inkjet that was out of ink and misaligned. The text is so light and smeared that whole sections are practically invisible. In the sample pages I’ve attached, the “Section 2: Chords and Scales” header is fuzzy and distorted, and the rest of the page is a ghost image. You can barely make out the words at all. For a guitar method book, the diagrams and photos are critical—and they’re a mess. The chord diagrams are washed out and fuzzy, the fingerings are almost impossible to read, and the photos look like someone photocopied a photocopy. Even the URL for the online video access is so faint it’s nearly unreadable. What’s the point of including “helpful resources” if the printing is so bad you can’t actually see them? This isn’t a minor cosmetic issue; it makes the book unusable as a learning tool. I don’t know if the underlying content is any good because I can’t even comfortably read it. For the price, this level of quality is unacceptable. If you’re considering this book, be aware you might receive something that looks like a low-res, low-ink test print rather than a professionally produced book. One star.

I am an old geezer nearing retirement but new to guitar. The book appears to cover the basics well in not a lot of pages and it comes with online lessons to watch which are handy. The URL for these is in the book. I wanted something I can use to teach myself and a paper book never needs batteries! The online videos are useful and the presenter talks to you; I definitely found them worthwhile. The book as such does not have songs which is just as well because that kind of thing can be a bit hard to follow if you don't know what a particular song sounds like. The book's focus is on learning the fundamentals and that is exactly what I am looking for.

I paid my money but have problems with the videos/audio not playing correctly. They say "If you encounter any issues with these files, please email us at ........." Well I did but guess what, didn't even have the courtesy to reply. If you have a problem you're on your own.
