2 Pack of 4 Way Pressure Clamps -Clamps Panels In All Four Directions

I got these clamps as I was tired of trying to flatten panels after they glued up with a tiny bit of a misalignment. I bought four clamps (two sets of two) for a six foot panel and used a couple of pipe clamps to fill in some empty spots and they pulled the boards into alignment even thought they started out over an 1/8th off. Love what they do! They are a bit difficult to use as they are fiddly - the metal pieces want to reseat themselves while you're sliding the boards in place. But once everything is in place, they work very well. Highly recommended.

These clamps are the greatest. No more fooling around with bent panels. They do require a little bit of patience when setting up but they do apply equal pressure against all 4 sides (and get great results). Yes, I am buying more

I ordered these and was really excited about the price but I failed to notice something. As I put them together I found that I was missing something! The wood they attach too! This is on my but I thought it would come with everything needed. This is just the hardware (brackets, clamps, etc). It will not come fully assembled, you'll have to do some of that and then find your own boards to cut, joint, and use. I do not have my own boards nor do I have a jointer so these are not usable for me. If you have a jointer then great! If you were expecting usability out of the box, you won't have that. Overall though the quality is 4 star. Not amazing but reasonable for the price. Be prepared for some of the pieces to seem like they're backward. You'll just have to flip them inside out if they come this way- not a problem but was noted in some other reviews.

Bought these because I build a lot of serving trays and getting the bottom panel right can drive you nuts. Racking and buckling is a thing of the past for me. Peachtree suggests using one every 12", so plan on buying 2 sets giving you 4 clamps. Now you're covered for larger panels. I have found 1x big box lumber will stay put using these clamps. I'm talking about pine, folks. Just some finishing sanding once dry and you're in business. I recommend these clamps to anyone who will listen. These are quality materials and are spring loaded. You are cautioned in the instructions about potentially pinching you fingers when handling the end pieces, believe it. Love these clamps and gonna buy more.

I made my 4 way panel clamps with this kit using metal superstrut from the orange big box store and cone nuts. That probably cost a bit more than using hardwood cauls and the provided screws, but it seems more dimensionally stable and likely more long lasting. I found only two YouTube videos showing that configuration, but it also seems like these 4 way panel clamps are criminally underrated and under promoted. These were amazing on a 40 inch wide 3 slab glue up for a walnut slab. I used pipe clamps in between three of these to give more consistent pressure, but the panel clamps gave me an almost perfectly flat table top even with slight differences in slab thicknesses. I would buy these again and plan to get many years of use from them despite them being made of plastic. They are a little finicky to use, but deliver clearly superior results. I believe that thinner panels of 1 inch or less would benefit even more from these.

be prepared to make your own rail system. We used steel beams for rails, it took quite a bit of time to assemble, but we had six pieces [ 3 sets] used to glue panels together, holds edges in alignment while setting. There is still some sanding or planing to do, but these really do minimize it. We glued oak together for staircase flooring [turns], and had very little sanding to do . [maybe an hour for 25 pcs] They are all pretty much the same from any supplier, but this brand Peachtree had the best deal at the time. These are items you buy and use for the next 50 years . I had a couple of sets already, but needed more.

Haven't really used it yet but came up with an idea that might be useful for people who are purchasing this. Instead of investing in expensive metal or having to finish the wood, so the glue won't stick, I'm using metal tape(Nashua). This way you can replace it if it gets too caked with glue Well I tried them out. They work Great ! No more using pipe clamps and hand clamps to keep the boards flat. Metal tape workout excellent.

This is my first time using dual clamping products. I am building a large dining room table, 7ft x 4 ft. and I needed a way to clamp during glue up where I could apply pressure to flatten the piece as well as clamp together the butt joints. I like the fact with these clamps that I can modify the length of the clamp by using longer boards where the clamp connections mount. My only issue with these is, you really need a hardwood board for the clamps to make them strong enough, when building hardwood glued up assemblies. The other issue I had was, because I am basically a one man show, I didn't have anyone to help me work with the clamps and trying to get them both lined up on top and bottom was a little challenging to say the least. I finally was able to get them to align, then clamp. The pressure seemed to work well, mainly because I was using hard walnut boards as the clamping boards. The jury is still out on these for me, but for smaller glue ups, I think these will work well in keeping the project flat as well as apply enough pressure to pull everything together.

Ergänzende Bewertungen nach erstem Einsatz.

Like others have noted they can be a pain to get used to, but then so is every clamping system that is not bar clamps. I read through the instructions and decided that since I seldom need to glue up anything over 13" wide I cut some elm I had to 1 1/4 x1 1/2 x 20". This was just enough room to fit all 3 of the notched bars. I then covered the elm with some vinyl I had, wood glue does not stick to it. I also made a jig that I would use the clamps on to ensure a straight edge. The only real issue I run into was one of the clamps ends had a spring that was not installed correctly. I set an email to Peachtree's support and since it was purchased through Amazon they would have to replace the defective piece. I did the Amazon return for a defective part. The delivery was here the next day and I swapped out the bad part and the driver took my return. It could have not been any easier.

This product is excellent. I could stop there but I have included a photo of it in use - I read other reviews as to a painful setup but the only thing I would complain about was the tiny size of the insruction paper - or maybe I'm just getting old... So if you are a woodworker (who this is aimed at) you will understand when I say that I have been making some panels out of all the waste wood accumulated over a couple of years. Planed it all down, squared it off then jointed/glued it then watched it curl up when trying to clamp it. Not with this bad boy. I used some old wood, covered it in gaffa tape, edged it with elecy tape (looked nice) and then fitted the bars. You may have to experiment with the exact placing but you can also space it out within the glue up if needs must. I made the panel on the right using the clamp and it is excellent - no bending and no problems with glue as it doesn't stick to the tape. I love this product - ignore the bit about spacing (they just want you to buy another set) and use standard bar clamps in between - and dont overtighten! There is a U Tube video from titebond that tells you how much pressure you need and I would suggest (so as not to stress the clamps) just apply pressure until the glue oozes, leave overnight and a prefect panel. If you make panels occasionally, this is an absolute must. As you can tell, I love it !!
