NOT as good as a 2k clear, lasts about 1-2 years
I am writing this review after 2< years of application on a motorcycle fairing. The original result came out great, pretty uniform satin finish and was pretty strong. (Hard to leave a mark on the underside, which I had also clear coated to test and hide the finish) This fairing goes on the front of my bike so it takes a decent amount of abuse; from bug guts to rock chips, it seemed to hold up pretty well and after a wash and very light polish (just to wipe away dirt, etc) it looked promising. At about the 1 or so year mark, I noticed that the clear itself became weak... I had to remove some stubborn bug guts that weren't scrubbing off with a microfiber, so in comes the 91% alcohol... it didn't hold up and the finish fogged/clouded up. The bug guts somehow got impregnated into the clear, must have been over the period of about a month or 2 on there, have not had that happen with any 2k clear coat and was not expecting this to. Keep in mind this is a garage kept bike, I suspect I have about a year or less before it completely goes the way of honda clear coats from the mid 2000s. Anyhow, this is a great product for short term/medium duty items... something you don't mind redoing every other year... if you are putting it on a car/motorcycle, DONT. Use a 2k clear instead. Pictures provided are 2 years after application, with very light buffing to hide the wear over time, the faded/clouded spot is where the bug guts were and the alcohol dissolving it on a 5 second application...I would imagine gasoline or acidic rain would do worse.

Dosnt work for auto repair
I purchased the aresol clear coat for a repair job on my rv. Do not use this for automotive repair because I was advised by the manufacturer not to use it on automotive repair. I definitely would not use it again. I just finished my project and this clear coat in a can is very expensive to use. Apparently it takes 4 thin coats (spraying project once) to equal one coat. This is designed to spray very small projects. It does work at a $$$$. It took me 7 cans (at $28 a can) to spray my painted rv bumper. I would of switch to something different but didn't want to redo everything. The only reason I used it was because it's a diamond shield and dosen't chip. After using it I'm really not sure about that either. It turned out to be a expensive project for something that only last 1 to 2 years. I didn't know this either till I got on the manufactured website. I purchased on Amazon ( apparently they don't sell on Amazon) and not alot of information about the product there. I'm really not sure how this received good reviews. I'm adding this after a few weeks having this product on the front of Mt RV. The claim they have that it's scratch and chip proof is not accurate. I am going to have to have mine professionally redone. My paint job came out good but this clear coat sucks.

Works Great
I used this spray to protect artwork children painted on my car. Sprayed it over acrylic and oil paints. It is durable and long lasting.

Does not cure within 48 hours. Not even close
To start with let me spell out the simple rule that defines when paint is "cured". Paint, or clear coat in this case, is "cured" when you can no longer smell it. The smell is the thinners evaporating from the material. This will continue until all the thinners have evaporated and only the solids remain behind. Sometimes this doesn't really matter and it is ok to spray, wait 48 hours, and then use. But if the item is to be brought into the house, office, or other place without ventilation, you don't want to do so in this case. Current weather in SoCal is 80degrees F. I sprayed it in my garage that was in the 70's, waited several hours for it to dry to the touch. Then I took the entire thing and put it out side on the back patio for 24 hours. After 24 hours I could still smell it quite strong. I then waited another 24 hours. Still could smell it. So this time I put it out in direct sunlight to help it. It sat out in direct sun from about 9am until about 4PM. Then I brought it back under the patio, waited until the next morning (now 72 hours later) and I can still smell it. At this rate I might be curing it for a week! If I had known this I would have looked elsewhere.

The quality of product and the flexibility of product
I was exspecting this to be like ur every day clear coat spray. Oh hell no way better. It for real works on everything. We have used it mainly for preserving the truck parts we have sanded to bare metel. Protecting the mirror image of cleaning the crome. We cleaned r valve covers and other chrome stuff to perfection and then sprayed them with this and no finger prints left on chrome when touching. The chrome still looks like it did when we buffed and cleaned them. I have used on a vintage mirror to stop the back from pealing. I sprayed it on and it did just that it locked in the peeling backing without altering the mirror in any form. I have used it to add a extra barrier to my wood stand that I polyurethane 5 times. I will use this for everything we need a clear coat on from in the house to the garage. We will now always have a can or two on hand.
