Artificial Japanese Cedar Bonsai Tree 9 inch Tall

We had purchased a bonsai tree at an art fair and the tree didn't make it, but I loved the pot. I decided a fake one might be better for us so I bought this one to transfer to my pot. I took the advice of another review and sprayed the leaves with a clear matte coat because I already had the spray and I think it helped a bit in terms of the glossiness of the leaves. I then fit it into my pre-owned fisherman pot and fixed up the "grass" and "water" areas with beads so that Mr. Miyagi had somewhere to fish! ***Other reviews mentioned it was a bit tough to pull out, so that was helpful to know...the entire tree comes to a point at the end and is screwed into some styrofoam/the bottom of the container...keep tugging if you want to remove it, because it does come out! ***From a price perspective, I think it's actually pretty reasonable; the pot it comes in looked better than some of the others I saw and the tree itself looks fairly realistic.

This artificial bonsai is great quality for the price; the trunk and leaves are very realistic and the surface of the soil has realistic tree roots and moss. I was very impressed! Folks who see it think it's real. I took it out of the original pot it came in (which wasn't easy because it's so well made but well worth the effort) to have it in a beautiful ceramic frog/fisherman pot that was a gift.

Only wish it was 16" instead of 9". The best overall aesthetic of the faux plants from pot, soil, and plant. Doesn't look rubber and is pleasing to look at.

Upon receipt I noticed that a few of the plastic pine needle clusters had popped off, but they were easily popped back on with no hassle. The product looks great and I'm sure my sister (who this is a Christmas gift for) will love it. Just don't forget that this is an artificial tree... no matter how good it looks it will always look fake especially up close.

This little tree is just what you hope it will be if you order it ~ it looks real and will not disappoint! Take a few minutes and ”fluff” it out of its packing and travel mode, like all artificial plants it requires shaping to look it’s best... we bought it for our mother and she loves it! Last word, it is the easiest plant to care for that you will ever tend.

I wanted a replace a dead bonsai I had for years. Unfortunately I couldn’t find one at a decent price anywhere. So I opted for a faux one till i could find a perfect real one. This one is ok. Especially if you put up high. Things wrong. 1. Trunk is way too light. 2. The branches need variety of color green. 3. Where the branches attach to leaves is way fake. 4. The roots and faux moss are comically bad. I painted down the trunk darker. Transplanted into a cool pot. (The pot it came w was junk) Looks better.

I spent a long, long time looking for a small tree to use as a centerpiece for my coffee table that required no maintenance and this fit the bill. It does NOT look very realistic when you're a foot or two away from it, yet still looks classy. From a distance, it looks great. It's much cheaper than most other similar trees you'll find. It's also pretty resilient - it somehow survived a rough move to a new city unscathed. Perhaps most importantly, it won't die on you!

Very realistic. Very pretty. I've never been able to keep a bonsai tree alive; not a problem here! Expensive, sure. But worth it. Although mine did come with a slightly cracked pot. Could have returned it, sure, but didn't. (Damage was slight; covered the damage with a piece of transparent tape, that I colored with a marker to match the pot).
