The all around best MMO-Gaming mouse on the market
I tried this mouse as a replacement to my old Razer Naga which was coming to an end of it's life. I really did love my Naga, so making the change from that to this was not easy. The main thing that stopped me from going to the Naga was the fact that the 2013 models were not as natural and comfortable as the old 2012 model. So I decided to give logitech's crown MMO mouse a try. First off, this mouse is quite bulky. I wasn't too happy at first seeing it out of the box, due to how big it was compared to other mice. That is where this mouse surprised me. It had a very very smooth and light feel despite all the mass. The handling takes smoothness over speed, which is quite perfect coming from an MMO-Gaming mouse. The side buttons take some getting used to, as they do on any MMO-Gaming mouse. They took me about 4 days to fully adjust to the buttons, and a few more days for them to just feel completely natural. During this period it actually wasn't too bad. The contour of the buttons made it easy to figure out where my thumb was on the pad. The additional programmable keys on and below the scroll wheel proved to be very helpful. The big highlight was definitely the G-Shift, which is the 3rd mouse button for your ring finger. That makes managing your skills in any MMO a piece of cake. That was a huge factor in this review Lastly, the programming. I was a little bothered in this area. Profiles feel weird to change and manage and can't be changed manually. The mouse had jumping problems when set to onboard memory. I was able to work everything out, but it was a huge downer to not be able to just plug and play happily straight out of the box. I shouldn't be having to google to figure out what is wrong with my mouse. Despite the iffy programming, once you get that settled, it works like a dream. Overall, this is a great mouse. It works amazingly well for MMO's. I've played Final Fantasy 14: A Realm Reborn, TERA, League of Legends, and many other games and this worked perfectly for all of them. Some iffy programming prevented it from being a perfect experience, but it wasn't enough for me to drop it from 5 stars. Definitely worth the money!

Awesome mouse, super user friendly. Great for gaming and photoshop.
This mouse is pretty awesome, I've had it for a long time and I really appreciate it. Although its stated as an MMO mouse, it doesn't have to be, because its super easy to use and re purpose. I do a lot of work on photoshop, and this mouse has made my work so much easier. The thumb buttons can be hotkey'd to make switching between tools a breeze, and with one button you can change the sensitivity to make yourself more accurate. The thumb buttons are an amazing tool for playing a wide range of PC games. In FPS's you can quickly change weapons without having to look for the number keys on your keyboard. Each thumb key can be mapped to any keyboard input, and combinations of inputs (like CTRL+A). You can cycle between 3 different profiles with a single button, each with their own hotkeys and configurations. You can change your sensitivity easily by a single button press, which is awesome. The software that comes with it recognizes many games that I own, and you can easily make a profile for every game you play to remember key bindings and settings. The colors on the mouse buttons makes it easy to recognize which profile you have it set to as well. The only complaint I have, is the g-shift click is a little tricky, and might slow your game down for a second while it thinks, but If you set it to a single key command, it is much more practical. I recommend it for weapon wheels in game, or something other than toggling the thumb buttons. Ultimately, it fits my hands very comfortably, its easy to use, and its really user friendly. If anything happens to this one, I'll gladly buy a second, but I think this one will last me for a long while.

A great mouse that takes some getting used to
I don't really play MMOs but I loved the idea of having all of my number keys within reach of my thumb for quickly selecting items and weapons in games like Garry's Mod or Terraria so I decided to try this mouse out. This mouse is actually much smaller than I expected; I can use it easily on a rather small mouse mat. It feels comfortable, though a bit strange at first, in the hand. All of the buttons click nicely and the tilting mouse wheel is a neat feature that I actually find myself using quite a bit for various key bindings. But the reason you're buying this mouse is for all of those numbered side keys. It took me a few days to get used to using them properly, and even now after a week I'm still not completely there. It will take you a while to acclimate your hand and fingers to a mouse like this especially if you're coming from a simple mouse with five buttons like I am. That said, I'm already seeing the benefits of all of those side keys. In games like Dishonored I'm able to select my desired weapon or ability much faster than by using the scroll wheel or keyboard number keys. As for the so-called G shift ring finger key, I never really use it. I simply don't really have a need for it in any games that I've played yet. Still, its nice to know its there and it does make a rather comfortable rest for the finger. Unlike some reviewers have said, I never find myself accidentally clicking this button when I don't mean to, but I can see it being an issue for some people. Fortunately Logitech included a great software control program for this mouse. You can set up different profiles and customize the function of all of those extra keys. You can also change the LED colors, which is a nice touch. I am starting to really love this mouse. I tried to go back to my old mouse and it just felt so bare bones and simple that I just couldn't use it. I think that if any PC gamer, not just those who play MMOs, is going to love this mouse. Just be prepared to spend a few days getting used to all of its features.

I was looking for a good mouse for playing mmos
I was looking for a good mouse for playing mmos, and in the end it came down to a choice between this and the Razer Naga (which my boyfriend uses and loves) and I chose this. To start with, this mouse is huge. Though I am a girl, my hands are not overly small, but this mouse literally dwarfs my hand. I can barely hold it, and unlike the Naga or other mice on the market, this one is not adjustable in size. You can change colors on the lights, which is kind of cool I guess, but when buying a functional mouse the pretty pretty lights are rather minimal in importance. Now to the real issues I had. The software for the G600 is very poorly done. Though it claims to give the option (it's even listed in the incredibly delusional "user guide") that you can save profiles to the cloud or the computer. I couldn't save profiles at all. The screen that was supposed to allow for such an option didn't even exist in the software I downloaded (and yes I checked the updates, kind of hard to have out of date software the day after you download it from their website) The mouse's settings would randomly reset at times, meaning that all of the keybinds I had set up were no longer functioning. For some reason, opening the mouse's management software fixed that, but after closing again would reset once more at random times. The mouse itself has a g-shift button for changing the functions of the mouse's other buttons. So instead of holding shift or whatever you modifier key on the keyboard is, you can hold that down and change the keys on the mouse directly. It sounded very cool at first, but then I noticed that sometimes certain buttons would simply stop responding. Unplugging and replugging the mouse in sometimes fixed the issue, sometimes it didn't. Eventually I noticed that while this issue would be happening, my keyboard would be typing in all caps while the caps lock was off. As far as I can tell, the side button would get stuck (and that is practically impossible to discern by looking at it or feeling it) and activate shift until I unplugged it and hit the shift buttons a few times on my keyboard. Concerned that this was an issue with my computer, I switched to another mouse and have had no such problems since. I won't be going back to this mouse. The software is shoddy, or maybe the construction is. I don't know, and nor do I care. All I care about is the fact that this mouse does not work well and caused my hours of frustration and confusion.

Great Gaming Mouse - Not So Great Programming
General Review: The fit and finish of the G600 is excellent. I use a claw style mouse grip and it works very well. Some reviewers have stated that the Gshift key (next to right mouse button) took getting used to, with accidental clicks while trying to move the mouse. Maybe it is because of a different grip style, but I have not had a single accidental click when moving the mouse. The LMB, RMB, and Gshift all have good responsiveness and feel - easy to click but not too sensitive so that barely touching them results in an accidental click. The scroll wheel is smooth and the 3 scroll wheel buttons work well. However, using the left scroll wheel click is difficult due to the shape of the mouse and my claw style grip. To move it left results in my thumb clicking one of the 12 side buttons, unless I put my thumb below those buttons. Even then, it feels weird. The mouse has enough button options to bind that the left mouse scroll and Gshift aren't really necessary. I have the Gshift bound as Alt and the left scroll click unbound since I cannot find a comfortable way to use it with my grip. The mouse sensor is fantastic. I don't think laser sensor quality gets any better than the one on this mouse. I have mine set in the default at 2300 dpi with Windows 7 mouse speed set to 6, to make sure I have a 1:1 ratio. I find this very accurate + precise without the cursor feeling like it jumps across the screen too fast. With these settings I am able to make very fine adjustments with the cursor or get across my large monitor screen with about 1" of movement each way, which works perfect for my style of grip. I have the top buttons (behind mouse wheel) set to go up or down in dpi on the fly as desired. This is very helpful for certain types of gaming (such as FPS and using sniper rifle). Other than the completely useless left scroll click (for my type of grip), the mouse works wonderfully and I have no other complaints about the mouse itself. Major Complaint: The #1 reason this review is only 4 stars - the software needs some work. The overall function of the software and customization of the mouse settings and lighting is good. However, it has been a bit glitchy. This has actually affected the 12 button bindings I set on the side for playing League of Legends. I've been in game and the side buttons bindings stop working, because the software switched back to default bindings instead of in game (the software lets you set profiles for each game on your system). I think I figured out the problem, though. You have to open the software before playing, and double check to make sure the correct profile is selected, then load the game. When doing this before loading the game client, I've experienced no glitches in game. It's just a bit of a pain to have to do that each time before playing - should be automatic. The more enraging issue was that initially Windows 7 would recognize the mouse and the cursor would move, but the Logitech Gaming Software would not recognize a G600 was in use so I could customize profiles. I looked online and found none of the solutions to work for me. I contacted Logitech support but it took a day to get back to me. In the mean time, I figured out my own solution. I had to go into device manager in Windows 7 (x64) and manually install the drivers for it (it showed in Win as HID compliant device). Once I manually installed the drivers (which the Logitech software should have done automatically and correctly for me), the software recognized the device and all is well now. If I wasn't so comfortable with tech issues like this, to work them out for myself, I would have probably returned the mouse and rated it a 2 star. It is a shame that the software/driver issues exist. Windows 7 x64 is the most popular PC gamer operating system, You would think the Logitech programmers would make compatibility for such a top priority. When someone buys a costly gaming mouse, they don't want the hassle of fixing software/driver issues manually even if they know how. FIX YOUR SOFTWARE, LOGITECH!!!!! You've always made great products and have a reputation for it. I've been buying your peripherals for years. Don't screw it up by letting your programmers and testers put out crappy software/drivers that will ruin your reputation. Fire/hire as needed - whatever it takes, but get back in the game and keep your reputation of delivering SOLID products/software at reasonable prices.

Mac Users Rejoice! Works perfectly in OS X El Capitan!
Logitech has done an amazing job with this mouse. I can't say it enough. As a Mac user, I was very worried after reading some of the reviews saying that it wouldn't work, but I literally plugged it in and it worked immediately. Of course, it will work even better if you download the Logitech software interface - for tweaking and such. But, what really blows me away is that this mouse will remember your settings between Operating Systems! So, if I tweak it and set it up on my OS X El Capitan, it remembers my settings perfectly when I Bootcamp over to Windows 10. This is truly amazing and allows me to switch between OS's without any issues. Logitech uses onboard mouse memory to achieve this. Razor does the same thing, but through user profile syncing. I prefer Logitech's implementation because I don't have to worry about syncing to a server or remembering a password or anything. Kudos to Logitech! The functionality, look, and feel of this mouse is amazing and is 1/2 the price of other similar mice (such as Razor mice). Also, for me, the side buttons feel more accessible than the Razor mice and I am able to use them more effectively and without mixing them up as much. The only nitpicks I have with this mouse is that the sensitivity takes a lot of tweaking to get it just right and the G-shift button is a little high up for me. Other than that, I can't think of a single bad thing about this awesome mouse. Highly recommended!

Update after more than a year of use.
I was expecting so much from this mouse. If I were a 15 year old girl this would've fit my hand perfectly. I am a man. This mouse is too small for me. It is very accurate and responsive. Better than the Death Adder IMO. I set it to 1000 for shooters. I tend to hit the G9 and the shift button (3rd mouse button) when I run into a dude around the corner. Had them set for knife and nade. I slashed. I threw. I died. So just beware that there are so many buttons that when you are surprised you will perform some macro magic instead of your primary. Setting up macros is tight. There was some other dude on Newegg or here that was talking about how this mouse would be great for AutoCAD. I agree and would add to that, 3dsMax and Photoshop. Clickers are weird and unlike other mice. Siruslee... Ergonomics is why I bought this mouse, but it isn't even close to as comfortable as the M570. If it were bigger then I think the design would've worked. I hold it straight in games for control but if I am just cruising around my comp I actually hold it in a way so that the mouse is angled to the left and my pinkie joint is sitting on the tail of the mouse. Moar comfort. 5/23/2014 Update: As I used the mouse more I got used to it and began to like it more. The macro function is much more powerful than I had originally thought. I don't game anymore, but this mouse is really useful for running other programs; I wouldn't use another mouse. Recently the mouse started acting up, the primary click button was double clicking. However, it cleared up and is now clicking normally. This is a typical problem with these mice, but with the 3-year warranty it shouldn't be too big of an issue. I still wish the mouse was larger. 8/1/2016 Update: Still works just fine. Great mouse. 5/5. Hand fit is still not ideal, but it's been reliable, and the software is excellent.

Look no further, this blows the Naga out of the water for almost half the price.
It's hard to say I'm blown away by this mouse, but not because it isn't a great product. It's because I just can't be surprised anymore by a Logitech device being made really well anymore, they seem to be the best out there. I was about to buy yet another Razer Naga, after having 2 of them fail within 6 months of buying each one from the same problem, when one of my friends told me Logitech had a similar mouse. I jumped right on it, I was even a bit skeptical, considering the low price of this mouse compared to what I was about to spend on yet another Naga. Wow! I could feel the quality of this mouse as soon as I got it out of the box. It feels great in my hand and has a great weight to it, as well as a nice quality cable. I was also excited about the third click button, which in my haste to order it I hadn't even noticed it had until it arrived. It had been quite a while since my last use of a Naga, and anyone who's used one knows that it takes time to acclimate yourself to being able to use all the side buttons accurately and I figured I would have to get used to it again. Nope! The top 6 and bottom 6 buttons are all sloped in to each other, making you immediately aware of which buttons are which without even looking at it. I'm pretty sure someone who's never tried this style of mouse before would immediately pick up on it. If you're considering getting a mouse like this, I highly recommend the G600. I've been losing more and more faith in Razer after a series of failed products, and it's great to know I can have an even better designed mouse, for half the price, from the only peripheral company I really trust to get me a well made, long lasting product.
