Another line of protection
We bought the gate alarms so that if for any reason the gate didnāt shut, we would be aware because it would alarm at us. If it saves our grandchildren lives or our dogs, for that matter, itās worth every penny.

Replaced same lock that was originally installed in 2015 with no problems.

Not functional
Alarm just continuously alarms despite being closed. Perhaps this is a defective item but itās useless. Hoping to hear back from customer service. Will update review if so. Had high hopes, disappointed

Worked great until it didnāt
This alarm/ lock worked great the first few months and I liked knowing when the kids opened it. But then it would start going off all by itself and it wouldnāt matter what we did. It would be perfectly closed and would just alarm and alarm. Even when weāre in the house and havenāt touched it for days, it will just go off. It drives us nuts!! Iāve reached out to the seller: manufacturer and havenāt heard back.
