Our favorite maple syrup
This maple syrup has the classic taste of pure Canadian maple syrup. It has the right texture and works great in toffee, traditional French Canadian dishes and as a topping for pancakes or waffles. We like to bring a small vial of this syrup when we go out to breakfast so we don't have to use the corn syrup based fake syrup typically served in restaurants.

Rich, full of flavor, sweet... FINALLY a GREAT maple syrup!
Ever since the maple syrup industry dropped the "Grade B" classification, my family and I have struggled to find really good, rich maple syrup. The newer "dark amber" classification is NOT the same. Sure, we've found syrups that are good, but nothing like I remember. Wow, this one FINALLY hits it out of the park! I've ordered this twice now and never detected any off notes or flavors. If you like rich, full-bodied wines or stout beers, THIS is the maple syrup for you! Lesser mortals need not bother.

Leaked
The mapl;e syrup is fine tastes good and all that. But in the shipping it leaked. Packed with other items it made for a sticky situation. Not entirely but just a little. Enough to make the other items in need of a rinse.

Different from the others
This has VERY strong flavor with a "woody" back note I have never found in other maple syrups. I love it!!!!

OK But Different
I LOVE maple syrup. I have had Canadian maple syrup before, and had high expectations for this one. Well, it is a disappointment. Someone else said the flavor was "off", and I would have to agree. Although it DOES have a strong taste, to me, it is NOT a strong MAPLE taste. Wierd, because the label says "100% Pure Maple Syrup". What is it? I don't know. I may just use it as a sweetener in baking, and buy another, more expensive brand for my pancakes. I will not be buying this one again.

Flavor too strong to be enjoyable
I have tried other brands of "dark" maple syrup and they have been fine, but this one is just too strong tasting unless it gets used in cooking or some other way that you don't taste it directly as it comes from the jug. Be cautious about buying this one.
