Q: Can you buy extra lid gaskets?

The address to which the question should be addressed is, of course, the seller. I also tried several times to contact the seller, with similar questions but unfortunately he did not bother to answer. I think Amazon should take into account the behavior of the sellers, it addresses on their behalf

Q: What size vacuum pump goes best with thuis unit?

1.5 CFM minimum but it takes longer to fully evacuate the chamber. 5 CFM is best for fastest evacuation. I use a 3 CFM, myself, which takes about 30 minutes to vacuum down to 500 microns (which boils off all moisture and water vapor). If you are just degassing liquids or resins you won't have to vacuum nearly that low, and the 1.5 CFM will do just fine.
