Like so many of us, we have been so accustomed to using the standard towels to dry off after we get out of the water or from taking showers. The problem with using these types of towels is that they start to smell moldy, even after properly hanging them up to dry. I especially experience this with my bathroom towel. Even after just a few showers, it starts to smell. I recently took this Go2Towel with me on a vacation to Hawaii. Being in Hawaii is the perfect candidate for towels getting moldy and stinky due to the humidity out there. After using the towel down at the beach and the pool and having been there almost a week, the towel never started to smell. One thing to point out though is that you still need to air dry it. Don’t just crumple it up and expect it to dry out effectively. I like the size of the towel and especially the nice carrying case which keeps everything organized. What is especially nice, is that the bottom of the bag has a mesh material so that if the towel is wet, it has the ability to keep air flowing through it. This is especially important when I go surfing as I tend to forget to grab my towel from the trunk to dry out. I haven’t used it as the gym yet, but I would venture to guess that it would work quite well with sweat too. One last thing that I would like to add is that I did a test on how fast a completely drenched towel would take to dry. The reason I did this is that the instructions mention that you should not place the towel in the dryer. You should air dry it. So I drenched the towel in the sink, wrung out as much water as I could and let it dry out on my patio. Keep in mind that there was no sun shining at the time of day and it was late afternoon. It took about 4 hours to completely dry. I would guess that if there was sun and it was in the middle of the day, this would have dried in half the amount of time. If this was a regular towel, it would have taken many more hours to dry. A big plus for me. I would highly recommend this towel for anyone wanting a lightweight, portable, anti-bacterial and all-around towel. I have been very happy with my purchase so far.

This towel is soft and thin, just like a shammy that you would use to dry off your car. I love how it feels up against my skin and the kids are already fighting over it for this reason. The size is just about perfect. I may get one of the towels that are a few inches larger the next time because it is so compact and lightweight that there is really no good reason to not go bigger. I have not used it on sand yet but this will definitely join me on my next trip to the beach. It is easy to tell that the sand will not stick to it, just brush right off. Same with the food crumbs when the family is snacking on it! This may seem like a small bonus, but if you can save some time on blanket shaking then why not! Keep in mind that because it is thin and lightweight, it will not warm you up after a swim in cold water or on a breezy day. It also will not give you much cushion if you're laying on a hard surface such as concrete, stone, etc. It remains to be seen how long this will last in such good shape. This microfiber towel is absolutely perfect for someone on the go, from swimmers to gymmers. I literally cannot say enough good things about this towel. The green color is bright and vivid, the construction is sturdy, and the fabric is so soft. It does a fantastic job of absorbing moisture. I use it for swimming, and it's ultra-compact and extremely efficient. I love how big it is, and yet that it rolls so tightly. No more dank and smelly gym bags as a result of damp towels. Awesome product! I was fortunate enough to buy this at a discount and I would buy it again at full price. The price does not influence my feedback or review. I bought this towel for working out, because I don't like how most towels smell nasty after a few intense workouts. I’m happy to say that so far, this towel has exceeded my expectations. This thing absorbs a lot, dries quickly, and doesn’t smell gross at the end of the week. The only thing that is a little strange is that it doesn’t glide across your skin the way a normal towel does. Since this is like a microfiber shammy cloth, you have to be more deliberate with actions; think dabbing and wrapping versus the usual wiping across. It's a little bit of an adjustment; but not a huge trade off. Overall, I’m very happy with it, and will probably buy another later. If you're looking for an upgrade from the normal towel, this is it!

This towel is light weight, and packs down small. The company has great customer service!!! The only reason I did not give it 4 stars is because it does not dry quick enough for my purpose (backpacking). It does make a great gym towel or beach towel.

I bought two of these for drying off after my post-workout showers at my companies gym. Unlike a terry cloth towel they take up next to no room in my gym bag which is nice. And the ventilated carry case can be used to hang the towel on the outside of your gym bag after your shower so it doesn't stink up your gym bag. Super absorbent and dries out fast. Plenty big enough to wrap around my waist while I am shaving and doing my morning grooming before getting dressed. The only complaint I have is that the material, while very soft, kind of sticks to you while trying to try yourself off. However it's not so annoying that I would rate it anything less than 5 stars. Love this towel!

Great towel. I love that it is light, and still large enough to wrap around me nicely at the gym. As other reviewers have commented, you "pat" yourself dry with this kind of towel, but it does a great job - any humidity is just gone. Dries nicely, very quickly, solid "hook" is sown in to make hanging easy. A go everywhere towel, and a gem compared to carrying terry cloth around. The grey-blue is also a nice colour.

I purchased three of the XL towels to use at the gym. The towel is made of a thin shammy-like material (it is not fluffy). They are a generous size. I am a size 20W and I’m able to wrap and tuck the towel around my waist. The towel is very lightweight, dries your body quickly, and it dries quickly. The loop is useful to hang on a hook. The only problem I have had is that it leaves blue lint on your skin. I washed the towels twice (the last wash on a heavy duty cycle to try to remove the lint) and it is leaving less but still some lint. Embarrassing to leave the locker room with blue lint on your face! I’ll try washing again, perhaps it takes a few washes to go away. So if you try, wash thoroughly and separately.
