Excellent EDC Knife
Very happy with this knife. The blade came shaving sharp, and the edge looks nice. I really like the ergonomics of the Link, though I would have preferred the plastic handle. I liked the ergonomics of that better, but I think the aluminum handle is a bit thinner and that helps with EDC. It opens smoothly, but isn't loose, and I expect it will open up a little over time. I'm a big fan of this blade style. Very functional and easy to sharpen. I'm excited to see how Magnacut steel holds up. The fit and finish is perfect. The aluminum is not too smooth. The deep carry clip is good. The screws holding in the clip add some extra resistance and may be too prominent to slide easily into jeans pockets, but for thinner material, it may help retention.

Fantastic price for a fantastic knife.
When I saw the price of this knife, I just had to have it. It was listed as having M390 Blade steel but the one that I received actually turned out to be magna cut. now for me thatโs not a problem at all, as both steels are fantastic. In my limited experience, Iโd say that the M390 will probably hold an edge slightly longer than the magna cut if itโs done correctly, but the magna cut is definitely more tough which I think would make it better for more of an all-around every day use knife at least for the majority of people.I only have two other assisted opening knives and for me, itโs not exactly something that is needed as I find most modern pocket knives open very easily these days sometimes easier with the ball bearings that are found on most. The knive opens perfectly with the flipper tap but closing it is a little bit more difficult simply because you have to overcome that spring. So itโs not a one hand closer at least not for me. I either have to use both hands or push it against the side of my leg or an object. The blade itself is a very nice shape. Itโs got a good amount of belly on it, but it has a nice tip on it as well. It was very sharp right out of the box. The lock up is of course very good with the liner lock. There is no blade play at all. The handle is aluminum, but feels very ergonomic and fits my hand perfectly. The clip on this is not terrible, but not great at least in my opinion itโs so so. The knife is a tad bit heavier than some other knives I have of a similar size but not uncomfortably so and it definitely feels solid and durable. When I bought it I think it was $109. Thatโs just unheard of and Kershaw makes a great product. They really made a very good knife in this and I would highly recommend whether you like assisted knives or not if you want a super steel knife this is one of the best options out there.

Best knife
Made in USA and 20cv blade for under $100 I paid $85 but now it's only $73! Worth every penny and I am a big fan of Kershaw's spring assist and this has a very snappy action that is awesome with great blade lock up. Looks nicer in person. This is my best pocket knife I have ever owned. If it's a little high to pay for right now just save your money till you can because this knife is like a $200 + knife for under a $100. The blade is thin which makes it great for slicing but still robust for harder work. I have a Kershaw volt ss in 8cr13mov which is half the price of this but is a lot of money for the cheaper steel. I have a ganzo fh91 in d2 that was $26 and that is another good quality knife for being a true budget knife and this is the best one out of all of them. This is a must have knife at this price. No need to buy a zt, we, Benchmade when you get a better product at a fraction of the price.i will make a good detailed review of this and my other knives/sharpeners because there aren't many on YouTube. If you buy this you will love it and use it more than any other pocket knife. I love Kershaw they will always be my favorite high quality but affordable knives. This is the best Kershaw you can get. I also have never had a speedsafe break. Update I got a magnacut version expecting it to be better than the 20cv but their 20cv is much better than their magnacut. I can't get it as sharp as quickly as 20cv and it gets duller faster. Sucks that magnacut isn't as good as it's been hyped to be I wish I could send mine back and replace it with a 20cv version model. I've had lost and replaced this knife 5 times cause how good it was and all those models were 20cv. Now I have the magnacut version and it's not nearly as good as the 20cv model. Maybe I got a lemon with a bad heat treat but when I get extra money I'm gonna buy the 20cv model before they are all gone.

Outstanding EDC knife.
The Kershaw Link Drop Point Knife โ Olive Aluminum (3.25" Stonewash 20CV) 1776OLSW is an outstanding EDC knife. The CPM 20CV blade holds an edge extremely well and offers excellent corrosion resistance, making it a dependable choice for daily use. The olive aluminum handle feels solid and well balanced in hand without being heavy, and the drop point blade shape is versatile for everything from light utility tasks to more demanding cuts. Deployment is smooth and fast, and the lockup is secure and confidence-inspiring. Overall, this knife delivers premium materials, great ergonomics, and excellent performance at a very fair price point. A high-quality, American-made design that lives up to the reputation of Kershaw. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a reliable, well-built everyday carry knife.

Favorite EDC by and away (with slight caveats)
By and away the Link is one of the folding knives in my collection I carry the most, so much so that I bought a second one just to have as a backup if I ever lose my current one. Despite the listing stating the steel as 20cv, per Kershaw's website, all current production models these days come with Magnacut. I've never handled a 20cv knife before, so I can't offer an educated anecdote on which of the two I think is superior, but I can tell you Magnacut has earned something of a legendary reputation in the knife world for it's highly desirable properties for knifemaking and that this blade is SCARY sharp straight out of the box. The first task I put it up to was cutting some plastic clothing tags, and normally with my other knives I place the blade against the plastic and put a little pressure to get it cut. But this knife? I swear it only just barely tapped the plastic getting it ready to do the slice and it sliced through that plastic in an instant. And given that it's Magnacut, it'll hold that edge for a good while before I ever have to break out my desk sharpener. The olive color handle is anodized aluminum, and it both looks and feels pretty nice in the hand. The aluminum also helps to keep the weight deceptively low despite the full steel liners. In a world where it feels like most knives are trying to be the next Benchmade Bugout, it's not quite on that level of lightness and thinness, but in real world use, it carries very nicely in the pocket and has more strength to it given the full liner construction. And yes, the pivot is a T8 torx screw, which is a welcome addition to the hardware for those who are also sick of T6 pivots. The liner lock is fairly typical compared to the more exotic choices we have as knife enthusiasts these days, but it's as easy to use as pretty much any other liner lock on the planet and it has a rock solid lockup, so much so that I couldn't find any kind of play in it at all. The pocket clip is probably one of the best I've had I'd say, rides pretty deep on the handle and doesn't have any ergonomic hotspots for me, and I'm a pretty big guy with whole hams for hands. As for the small caveats I have to offer, it's that it's an asissted opener and has a blade over 3 inches, which may make it illegal in certain jurisdictions, which I think is a crying shame since this really is a fantastic EDC choice. As for the last caveat I have to offer (and is really the only that's genuinely annoyed me), it's that Kershaw's been torquing the pivot screws way too tight on their current USA made production runs (particularly Blurs and Links) that I've purchased lately it seems. I usually have to loosen the pivot screw myself because it'll be so tight that I can sometimes barely get the blade open, so it's annoying that I as the customer have to use my own tools and time to get it to have the right balance between centering and a good action when it should be that way out of the box for the price point. In all though, that's my one and only serious complaint about the knife and with USA made Kershaws in general. I'm hard pressed to find many Magnacut knives this affordable, much less made on Uncle Sam's turf. I still reccomend this knife, but just be sure to have a T8 bit on hand until Kershaw figures out how to not tighten it like they hired Samson himself right out of the Bible to install all their pivots.
