So... I just got an iPhone, but I have an HP laptop. I take a lot of videos that need to be transferred to my computer for editing. But every USB data cord I used would only charge, not transfer data. My PC wouldn't even recognize it. I was having to use Google Drive to upload video clips, then download to my computer. Ugh!!! BUT now, with this thing, I can upload directly to it, store it there as long as I want, until I'm ready to use it on my laptop. I love that it has multiple options: USB-A, USB-C, and lightning ports. My only drawback is that the lightning piece is not long enough to plug into the port while my Otterbox phone case is on my iPhone. I have to remove the entire case to plug in this flash drive. But it is still so much more convenient than what I was doing before, I'm okay with it, and still giving 5 stars. I'm even thinking about just getting a different phone case. Would be totally worth it. :) The phone app is really easy to use, and I was happy to know that you don't need any software/apps for the laptop, where it works just like a regular flash drive. I can't speak for long-term reliability, since I haven't had it very long (maybe 1 month), but so far so good. Nov 2024 Update: I have been using this for the last 2 years on a regular basis and it still works perfectly. I did finally get a smaller phone case a couple weeks ago, and now I don't have to remove the whole thing just to use this drive lol

Very easy to use. Has an USB C USB A and iPhone inserts and it also has an attached chain. Perfect to have on my trips so I can transfer all my photos and videos. Lots of storage space. Happy with my purchase. highly recommend.

First thing that you will notice if you buy this is the quality – the drive itself is made of metal, and seems very solid. I also liked the packaging, it feels really premium. The drive works as expected – I use it as a portable storage that I can plug into anything (computer via USB-A, laptop via USB-C, iPhone via lightning) without any extra adapters. Be aware though – on an iPhone, it requires an app. It does NOT work without the app, and all transfers need to happen through the app. The app is pretty easy to use and the suggestion to launch it pops up automatically as soon as you connect the drive, but it does creates nuisance for some use-cases. For example, you can't copy a folder from the drive directly to iCloud Drive (or Dropbox) – the app can only work with the local storage, or export files one-by-one via the "Share" button. If 3rdParty app is a deal breaker for you, consider getting a microSD iPhone adapter instead – they work directly with the built-in "Files" app, and you can easily plug the card anywhere, so they essentially provide the same functionality. Another issue is the heat. The drive get pretty warm even when you're not working with it (but leave it plugged in). I'm not sure what will happen if I try to copy 100 GB of data on it...

My iPhone XR has been running out of space for a few months and showing typical signs and symptoms of such conditions. I finally found a drive that can help alleviate this problem! The setup was easy and the app was user friendly. The pictures in the instruction booklet are not very helpful unless you have a magnifying glass. Luckily the app is intuitive enough. Next day, after formatting as instructed, the app went into a loop trying to recognize the drive. While drive is plugged into phone, you see progress bar finishing then restarting from zero. I emailed customer service pictures of the problem. I’m thoroughly impressed with how responsive they were in helping me diagnose the problem. Ultimately they replaced the drive and it’s working just fine. The fifth star is for the customer service! I would recommend this company to anyone!

This was the easiest thing I have had to do all day - aside from getting dressed, but actually getting dressed is a challenge as I have a lot of back pain, so this was actually easier than getting dressed. I am 55 years old I have an IPHONE 7 - I got the App from the App Store - which was easy as pie because there is only 1 JD Memory App - (not a bunch like with some with similar names, and you don't know which one is the right one) - I plugged the Photo Stick into my phone (did not have to remove the case-which is also awesome) and just selected back-up and a few minutes later I was done. I plugged the Photo Stick into my computer and sure enough - all 218 of my pictures/videos were there. I was able to delete them all off my phone. I love it!!! I am going to order one for everyone in my family!
