The Witcher 3 Game of the Year Edition (Xbox One)

It took me 3 tries to get into this game. As a new Witcher player and console RPG player the game was just completely overwhelming to me at first. The gameplay mechanics and lore of the past 2 games that I hadn't played was tough and I quit, tried again, quit tried again. Finally I watched a few videos on YouTube and was able to really dive into this game properly and boy am I glad I did. I can't say enough good things. The story and lore is incredible. The gameplay is fantastic. The graphics especially on a 4K TV are just stunning. Such a good value as well as you can easily sink over 100 hours into it and it just feel like 100 minutes. The expansions also are fantastic as well, especially HoS which is just so unique and powerful. A+ game can't get enough of it.

Now this is a bang for your buck. A game released in 2015 is still better than 99% of games released in the last 3 years trust me. The voice acting is bad and the quality lacks sometimes. But the story makes up for this and the gameplay is flawless. If you like singleplayer story based rpgs this is the game for you. You will be immersed through the whole story and all the side quests that are of offer. I have currenly only played 1 expansion and it felt so full and complete unlike most games out there. The cutscenes are long but you can skip them if you want but most of them are actually interesting and they complement the story greatly. This game is the best $30 i have spent on a game in a long long time.

I got this for my honey for his birthday! He is 24 and enjoyed it. He likes Skyrim for anyone that doesn’t really know about video games and is basing it off what they already play! My brother told me to get him this game! The only thing is their is a lot of nudity and swearing (lots of f***) so it’s not something he can play around kiddos or anything. He really likes it though! It has a huge map so he is always exploring and it has good quality! I actually enjoy watching him play!

As my husband and I have fought more after I bought him this game... because playing this game was all he would do all day and he would barely do anything else productive anymore, I would say that this is an excellent game. He was hooked. He said he loved this game. I, on the other hand, hate myself for buying this game for him. The things we do for love... amiright people? Suggestion: Why not put an occasional reminders in the game like, 'have you checked on your wife?' or 'have you showered today?' or 'have you done the laundry today?' you know... wouldn't hurt. Excellent game though... sure. sure.

I am a huge fan of expansive RPGs (Dragon Age, Skyrim) and I have really enjoyed Witcher 3. After playing Witcher 2 on my Xbox 360, I was concerned that 3 would also have a lot of the objectification of women but it has improved a great deal. However, it's still very very white-washed and heteronormative, and it would have been very easy for the game creators to correct that. Regardless, Geralt can still be an unrepentant whore, which is really a big part of what makes the series so amusing. I also loved Ciri and wish I could have played as her more. At least give her some good gear and weapons. I hope that if there is a Witcher 4 you have the option to play as a female character, as well as to further customize your character's race/gender.

Bought this game hoping I would get the US version which has Spanish subtitles, I was wrong. I could the Russian Version. Yes it has english, but I needed the version with spanish in it.

This game is amazing. I'm 2 hours in and only just at the beginning. There are so many dialogue choices and different places to go. The graphices make it look like you can touch the game. This is almost like a medieval version of red dead redemption.

Love this game. It is fantastic. Graphics are great, game quest line keeps you interested and it is huge. Keeps a player busy for hours.

Played it through, and I loved it the whole way. Going to give it a break before going through again for the new game+ content. (Mainly just better versions of the same gear, if the few hours I played in NG+ were an indicator.) A few bugs even fully updated, but nothing game breaking. Note that the "Game Of The Year Edition" and the "Complete" edition both contain the same content, (the base game and all DLC packs,) but the Game Of The Year Edition has a base region of Europe, meaning that North American consoles will only be able to access the base English voice over, and cannot use alternate language download packs. Other than that, no real differences between the two versions.

This game is the best modern day rpg. Beats skyrim and dragon age ( I still love those games) but I am hooked on the witcher 3. I love the game so much that I am going to purchase the book series as well. 5 stars!

Exactly as advertised and the price can't be beat! Took a while to get to Canada but did come within the estimated time of arrival. The wait was worth it!

Love this game, my favorite now.
