Travel Backpack for Men Large Convertible Duffel Bag Fits 16 Inch

It held up to a camping trip/SCA event, didn't fray or break, and was nice and spacious. The backpack handles with the roll up to be able to use them is a bit weird imo - and one of the zips is a bit janky. Otherwise, very happy with it and it's my new travel bag.

Best bag I’ve ever owned by a long shot, use it daily and for travel. Perfect for Frontier flights as it counts as personal item and fits perfectly above or under the seat. The hooks and straps are perfect for holding my carabiners and field knife. The right side pocket is great for holding extra objects or water bottles. The pockets in side are great, as a photographer I use the internal pocket for batteries, adapters, chargers, etc. They stay completely out of the way while I pack 4 changes of clothes and a camera into the main pocket. It has a bottom pouch that stays separate from everything else, and it can expand to take up half the bag or stay flat and isolated the very bottom. I use it to store a med kit. The front leather pouch is where my iPad Ives, and it could not be a more perfect fit. Easy to grab, protected, and on the flap there’s a mesh pocket I use to hold my chargers. The attached clip is perfect for holding keys while you travel. I’ve left many a candy or chocolate in this bag, and living in Arizona it doesn’t take long for messes to happen. Perfectly fine though, just chuck in the wash on cold, air dry, and problem solved. Bag has not shrunk, threads don’t come loose every time you wash it, never had a single issue. Even the patches I’ve ironed on have stayed on. Very little fading in color, mostly on the bottom where it sits in the dirt. But what wouldn’t that fade.

I have taken this backpack on two international trips, one of which involved lots of moving/repeated packing. The bag holds up well, and I love the versatility. It looks great as a duffel bag or backpack, and it's easy to convert. The "leather," although man-made, is a good, sturdy material and so far it as held up very well. The canvas material is nice and heavy. It looks great, although I will say the "black" color is closer to charcoal grey--which I think actually pairs better with the cognac colored "leather." The bag is very comfortable when worn as a backpack. Although I'm sure it's not as comfy as a traditional "backpacker" pack, it's not really large enough to overdo it with weight anyway, and the waist/load bearing strap helps to distribute the weight more easily. All the various straps pack away easily, which is also nice when you're on the move. The small pockets on the front of the bag are really great for extra storage, and the rounded shape means that they add more space even when the bag itself is packed to the gills. The zippers are sturdy, and I've had no issues with the teeth bending or tabs coming off, which is something I had feared with such an inexpensive product. The laptop pocket inside is also a plus. In sum is a great bag at a fantastic value, and I don't have any critiques. Moreover, in contradiction to the product label I can attest to the fact that it is, in fact, gender neutral and looks quite fetching on a lady. ;)

yeah, it could be improved. Just returned from my first trip with this. Got the 21", which is the perfect size for airline carryon. First, it has that classic look of canvas and leather. It appears to be well made and will hold up for years. There are multiple storage areas and pockets and this is where I could see some improvements being made. While the nylon zippers are large with metal pulls, one of the outer storage pockets is 'U' shaped and partially underneath a canvas flap. I had some trouble getting the zippers to 'go around the corners' smoothly, even before putting anything inside. I can see the zippers breaking at these stress points if you aren't careful. The other thing, as mentioned, is the main storage compartment. The 'Good', is it and all of the pockets are lined. There are dividers in the main pocket that I found useful. The 'Bad' is, as others have said, the opening is 'straight' so there is no way you are going to easily put folded shirts inside. I resorted to the military method of rolling my shirts and pants to get them into the main storage area. Having at least an 'L' shaped opening would certainly facilitate getting clothing items in. As I had only jeans and casual shirts it wasn't a problem but if you have dress slacks/shirts, you're going to need and iron when you get to your destination. This bag has multiple carry handles plus a detachable shoulder strap. The strap could use some sort of padded/leather/soft plastic shoulder piece over the nylon strap to add comfort and stability when using shoulder carry. The bag also has padded shoulder straps so that it can be carried/used like a back-pack. These stow away in a 'U' shaped pocket that is quite large; large enough to stow more items if the bag is not being used as a back-pack. The outer part of this pocket 'rolls up' and out of the way if you are using this bag as a back-pack. All-in-all, I'm very pleased with the appearance and function as I was easily able to carry 4 days worth of clothing, toiletries and personal items in this bag including a CPap machine and attachments.

This really is an awesome bag. Here are the pros and cons: 1. It is a great size. The 21 inch bag is big enough to fit all sorts of things in it but not too big as to make it bulky and difficult to carry around. 2. The various zippers and straps allow you to open and close the bag to make it into the size you need. I got this for my husband and he puts his gym clothes in there. The problem he usually has is that his shoes are a size 14 and never fit in anything. He has no problems with this bag. The side zippers open up to make it deep enough to fit in not only the shoes but also his other clothes. The length is long enough to allow almost any size shoe in there. Even Shaq could carry around his shoes in here! 3. I LOVE that you can use it as a backpack OR as a shoulder bag, your choice. That option is a great option in my opinion. 4. I like the look and feel of it. The canvas is nice and thick. The PU parts make it look luxurious and are a very nice and soft PU. I got the one in brown and I love the color. 5. It has more than enough little compartments and zippers. Cons: I truly can't think of any. This is a great shoulder bag/back pack. You really can't ask for anything more. I really like this bag. I've been searching for a bag that would be classified as a 'personal item' by the airlines so you could carry it onboard and NOT pay a baggage fee (this happens if you have purchased a 'basic' fare). The max size for a personal item varies but it's about 17x13x10 inches (and 22 lbs.). This bag fits this size requirement - except it's actually 18 inches long. However, because this is a soft sided bag you can use a luggage strap and squeeze it down to the 17 inch requirement. In addition to meeting this size requirement, I was also looking for something that I could carry on as a suitcase, or a back pack, or a shoulder bag, and this bag does this. Finally, the bag looks great and is well made. It is also virtually identical to another bag being sold on Amazon, but is slightly more expensive. The big difference between the two bags is that this one has much better access to the main compartment. The other bag had access through a side zipper and when it was full it was extremely hard to get to something at the bottom of the bag. This bag has a zipper that runs from the middle of one side, across the top, and down to the middle of the other side. This zipper placement allows much better access to the main compartment, making the interior of the bag far more accessible.

I love this backpack so much. I ordered it slightly last-minute and a little panicked just before a three-week European vacation. I needed something small enough for the carry-on requirements for my flights, and I'd be doing a lot of train travel and wanted something easier to transport than a small roller bag. This one had good reviews, but I was nevertheless worried that it might not hold up during all the moving around and repeated packings and unpackings, not to mention having to pack lighter than I had for any other trip of comparable length. I needn't have worried! This bag checked all my boxes--it's super sturdy, looks great, and holds a lot more stuff than I thought, and it's got the bonuses of multiple carrying options while being the perfect in-between size to use both for travel and for everyday use. I'm actually looking forward to my next trip in part because I'll be able to enjoy the revelatory ease of backpack travel vs. my old suitcase ways. I really cannot recommend it enough!

Used this bag while traveling across England, Scotland, and Ireland, and it holds a surprising amount. I was even able to use it as a personal item on flights without any issues. The bottom compartment easily fits a second pair of shoes, and there are plenty of well-placed pockets and pouches for organization. The top “leather” section turned out to be more useful than expected, it works well as a flat surface even doubling as a mouse pad when needed. While it does include waist and chest straps, I wouldn’t recommend it for hiking. It’s clearly designed for light travel, and it performs perfectly in that role. My only nit pick would be that the zipper on the handle side should go further down, as it gets difficult to grab anything near the bottom without taking most your items out. Love this bag, haven't ran into any durability issues over several strips and multiple flights since 2025 summer.
