Like the quality of actual tape but the thing already broke and won't retract the tape

I saw a YouTuber who reviews various hand tools , and liking what he had to say about this tape measure, I decided to get one.One of the nice features with it, is the opening to the bottom of the tape that allows you to control the retraction speed with your finger, without the worry of getting it pinched it the tape winds up too fast!Also, the glow in the dark numbers on a black background is nice. Also having numbers on the backside of the tape is nice too.Lastly, a nice and wide tape width that offers good stand out length before it collapses.I’ve used several different brands of measuring tapes over the years, and I’m happy to have this one.

Hate the fact its in imperial rather then metric prefer meters and centimetres as thats what ive grew up on not feet and inches, other then that absolutely fantastic tape measure easy to read in all lights looks different and latches to what you need it to when you need it to.

Order and used lufkin all this time. Does not last too long but it's good to use. Feel it's worth since I use it everyday.

Perfect tape measure for USA with inch measurements on BOTH sides. It's bright, clear, accurate, and has large uncluttered markings. And it's not some funky shape with a bizarre distance from where the tape enters the case and, say, a wall behind the case. It is EXACTLY 3-1/4 ". No running the tape up the wall and guessing. Just pull the case up to the wall and add 3-1/4. The hook is deeper than most AND rises up above the tape too. This is great for pressing it against a wall as the design of the hook usually stops it from sliding through a gap between the bottom of a wall board and the floor.This tape has only two down sides you should know. First it's a bit bulky. Second, the hook is too tall and/or the tape too wide to fit through some tight places. Every once in a while I have to get out my old narrow wimpy tape with inferior markings when I need to get the hook into a tight place.
