Incredible device
I am a cardiologist, and to me this device is incredible. As background, a true EKG done in a doctor's office has 12 leads. I had the first AliveCor device from 5-6 years ago -- and it was revolutionary, allowing you to see ONE of the 12 EKG leads. The AppleWatch released last year also gives you ONE of the 12 leads of a normal EKG. For most purposes -- one lead is all you need for determining things like irregular heart rhythms (usually "atrial fibrillation"). But for anything else - you need more leads. So with this new device giving 6 out of 12 leads, this is simply fantastic. Now a doctor can see this and determine not only heart rhythm, but axis, conduction abnormalities, and even ischemic changes (ie. early signs of a heart attack).Honestly for an average person, I don't know if it is necessary to take an EKG repetitively. But for clinicians, it's incredible to be able to take EKGs with this device. I have used it when I travel abroad and at parties with friends and family. The other day I was able to pick up an asympatomatic EKG abnomality ("WPW") in a friend at dinner. I can also see a scenario in the future, where doctors prescribed this device medically in selected people who had racing heartbeats -- since existing EKG monitors only give one lead, this could conceivably give much more information - if the patient had the device nearby at the time of the event.Regardless, kudos for AliveCor for advancing healthcare technology.

Do not buy. If you do, do not rely on it Never return direct to manufacturer..
I bought this product having heard good things about it but after a few months it failed to work. I contacted Kardia who told me that ...after months of successful use that I had assumed was giving me access urate feedback of Afib readings following major surgery..that my phone was not on their approved list (aSamdung Galaxy A10) They offered a full refund if I returned it and stated that the data I had painstakingly gathered ready for a cardiologist appointment (long overdue due to pandemic) would not be reliable due to phone incompatability!! My data mysteriously vanished from my phone so I only retain a few recordings that I had emailed to myself. I returned the item...risking going to the rather unsanitary local post office with long unsocially close queues to do so, using tgeirbtracking label. I had tried to argue for Anazon collection but they told me this could not be arranged. Foolishly I accepted this, sent my item back to them and awaited refund. None came so I contacted their helpline again. No response. So that waste a complete "have" ...and a very very expensive purchase. A and E department on my last visit implied that people who used kardia devismces tended to be hypochondriacs! Be warned. I live on a low income...don't have money to spare...and I had thought this would help in diagnosis and treatment a very very expensive and wholly useless waste if my time and money. Very unhappy.

Stop working after 2 months, and the customer support blamed on my mobile phone !!
Had the device working for 2 months, then suddenly stop working 2 minutes after I took a reading. Checked the website, it suggested it the battery runs out, but it supposed last for 12 months.Called the support, she asked my phone model, which is a Xiaomi, and told me it is not supported. Then I asked why it worked for last 2 months on the same phone, she said there was a version update. I asked her what is the updated version, then I checked my phone which has not been updated. Then she asked me to update it to get it work. She is running round the circle, and try to avoid to admit the device is faulty after 2 months, which reported by many users.Shame for a supposedly reputable company.

Disappointing as the device will not complete a 6 lead reading
I had the original which is £99 and only analyses 1 lead... was encouraged to buy the new device which says it analyses more (ie 6 lead) and therefore provides data useful for the Dr BUT actually only really analyses 1 lead if you ask for more analysis (£5 each to send off). Also, I haven't managed to get my new device to successfully complete a 3 minute reading yet - despite trying about 5 or 6 times... so, would I have bought this - nope. The original is clinically acceptable to cardiologists and the extra money for a feature (6 lead) thats doesn't reliably work is disappointing and in my mind a waste of money.
