THE product for REMOVING odors--not 'masking' them.
To find out lots more about this product, read about it on the Every Day Cheapskate site--which is where I first heard of it. (just type in NokOut in the search bar) Is it pricey? Yes, indeed, it is--but there's a reason for that: it WORKS. In all my life I had never heard of someone being able to COMPLETELY remove the stench of cigarette smoke from a car previously owned by a smoker. Yet I ended up with one, and I am allergic to cigarette smoke! (THAT'S why there were deoderizer packs under the seats! Which, only laster long enough for the purchase transaction). I got a great deal on the car but was afraid I was going to have to sell it. Not because of the filthy seats--Simple Green and a Bissel green machine fixed that--but because of tha lingering stale 'ashtray' smell. It was awful! So, I started searching for a diy solution. Mary Hunt ( of Everyday Cheapskate fame) said it COULD be done with this product. Hmph, I thought, I'll believe it when I SEE (or, don't smell) it. So I ordered a gal of NokOut and followed her instructions: I cleaned and vacuumed the car thoroughly. I then grabbed the small humidifier I ordered from Amazon, filled it with NokOut, ran an extension cord thru the driver window, and closed the window on the cord. With all windows up, front seats reclined back, car mats out, with the car perfectly cleaned out, I turned on the humidifier and left it on for a full 24 hrs--not opening the car doors during this time. This allowed NokOut to penetrate all the places that the smoke molecules had penetrated: including the upholstery, carpets and headliner. When the time was up, I wiped down all the mist from the doors, etc, parked the car in the sun with the windows down to dry everything. Next, I changed the cabin filter. IT WORKED. I daresay NO ONE is more sensitive to the tiniest bit of 'smoke smell' as I am, and there is NONE. To say I was shocked is an understatement, but to say I was thrilled is an even biker understatement! I am still driving my lovely car 7+ yrs later and I have never even had so much as a 'whiff' of smoke smell. AND, if NokOut has the power to do THAT, you shouldn't doubt it's ability to tackle anything. The most amazing thing is that it is odorless and basically 'harmless' to people, pets, etc! They say you could drink it--but I wouldn't, of course. You can carry a little spray bottle with you to disinfect surfaces, etc, when you travel. I also use it after one of our pets decide its just too much trouble to go out to do their messy business. Lets just say I'm never without a spray bottle of it around. It is much cheaper by the gallon, so I fill my own. OH!!! I also forgot to say that NokOut works on skunk mysk and other smells your dog gets into!!! Just spray them dripping wet with it and lightly dry off the excess. Let them dry, and repeat, if necessary! In short, once you realize the power of NokOut (and their other cleaner Sniper), you just have to keep it around. It is an amazing product.

My favorite pet mess deodorizer.
Removes odor well, we use on pet stains. It does leave an ozone smell behind but there is no odor left and it's permanent, unlike other odor removers. We always use this first and foremost. Great product.

Worked great for me.
Puppy potty training. I used a carpet cleaning machine. I soaked the spots, then sucked up the urine and cleaner. I did this four or five times. The off-white carpet looks great. Smells much better too. I then used it to clean all the carpet. I also use this in the washing machine for the dog beds and blankets. It does a great job taking out the dog smell. Works good on gym clothes also

Great product!
This product worked so good for me! I had several spots of cat pee on my couch, it was about 3 weeks old. I also had years old dog pee on my carpet. While it worked great on the semi fresh pee, it didn't work as good of the old dog pee on the carpet. I feel like one more treatment might do the trick on the carpet. I saturated the areas two separate times then allowed two days for it to completely dry but I could still smell a little bit of pee. By the third and fourth day there was no more pee smell on the couch but the carpet still smelled. This product did leave a cleaner/soapy smell. I don't mind the smell it almost smells like freshly bleached linens. My couches are dark brown and I had no coloration issues..Over all I think this is a great product and definitely worth the money.

Gets rid of ANY kind of stench this stuff is amazing and safe!
This stuff is absolutely amazing!!! I was told about this from a person who worked for Ferret Rescue. My daughter moved and needed me to care for her ferrets for a while. Ferrets are very sensitive to chemicals, they have to be taken out of a room you’re cleaning until all residue and scents of the chemicals are gone. The ferret rescue people were in a pet store I was at so I asked them if there was anything I could use to clean their space and to get rid of their rather awful Ferret scent. That’s when I found out about Nok Out. Evidently this stuff is so safe you can spray it on the floor, the ferrets coats, ferret toys and it gets rid of the scent and doesn’t harm the ferrets. You have to wet the surfaces, the ferrets and let it dry, no wiping it up. To my shock it worked. I did some research on it and evidently it is used to sanitize neonatal rooms in hospitals. It is sold under a different name and because it has to have some number or something on it to be registered they sell it at a higher price. You can spray in on your hands and it has a residual effect against viruses and bacteria and it isn’t harmful to you get it in your mouth. I always take a small bottle of it on air planes when we travel and spray the trays, arm rests anything near me. I have used it on my dogs in between baths, my clothes and hair if I have been around a smoker. My niece had a cat that had sprayed into her heat duct. She had tried everything to get rid of the smell, she even painted inside the duct with paint that was supposed to eliminate the smell but the smell kept coming back. And no the cat was no longer allowed in the house. I told her to try some of my NokOut but wasn’t sure it would work since she had painted the area. It completely eliminated the smell. Now she uses it on anything that smells and she has a very sensitive nose. She told a friend about it who was caring for her elderly parents who brought their cats that peeded on her carpet all the time and it drove her nuts and it worked amazingly. So if you need a safe sanitizer with residual action or something to get rid of awful smells on absolutely anything you should try Nok Out. You will not be disappointed, just remember to wet the area and let it dry on it’s own. This isn’t an enzyme the breaks down the odor. I’m not sure how it works but it does work and I always have some in house or when traveling.

This is the smell killer!!!
This stuff works!!! Had some smell issues where I live. At the risk of embarrassment ket me say this… my work shoes reek. They stink and no matter what I use to try to get rid of it it never workedZ usually it makes them smell like I am covering up a smell. Like it smells like stink mixed with chemical cleaner. So I Tired it out on my work shoes. About an hour later they smelled like a swimming pool and the. An hour after that they smelled like nothing at all. The fridge and the bathroom smell clean. If you’re looking to get rid of animal Oder or just any kind of persistent smell this is it!!!

Great for removing/neutralizing cat urine odor.
BACKGROUND: I have been at my wits end lately with a furbaby who insists on urinating in the heat/air vent. I tried my old stand by that has worked miracles in the past, What Odor?, but for some reason it has not been working as well lately. I wonder if they changed the formula? I also tried another product I had used in the past, Rocco & Roxie Pet Stain and Odor Eliminator, but had no better luck. So, after searching online through many different pet owner sites, I came across several recommendations for this product. After reading through the reviews I thought I would give it a shot. I am desperate at this point. I mean, it is one thing when the accident is in carpet, but quite another when it is down in the venting under the floor where it is very difficult to reach effectively. Thank goodness I am a Prime member and I was able to get the Nok-Out quickly. I had considered ordering a smaller size since I had never tried it before, but knowing that I may have to retreat several times, and the fact that I might need it for the carpet at some point in the future, I went with the gallon size. PRODUCT: The Nok-Out gallon is sealed under the cap so there was no leakage in transit. It is a clear liquid that has minimal fragrance. That was one problem I have had with other things I have tried in the past. It seems like other products tried to mask the odor with a lot of fragrance, which never fools your pet who will revisit the scene of the crime if the odor is not completely removed. EFFECTIVENESS: I thoroughly saturated the area and let it sit for a while. After thirty minutes or so, I mopped up a majority of the Nok-Out but still left the area wet, but not swampy. I let it dry, which didn’t take long since it was in the venting. Even though I smelled nothing at all after treatment, I retreated the following evening and the next day just to be sure. After all, a pet’s sense of smell is way more effective than ours. The trick is to remove/neutralize the scent of urine completely and thoroughly in order to prevent repeat accidents. Being that the accident in my home was in the floor venting, it was very difficult to get to every nook and cranny which is why I had to retreat several times. It 100% removes any traces of urine odor. After even the first treatment I smelled nothing. FINAL THOUGHTS: If you have a pet having accidents, please consider taking them to see a vet first and foremost. Sometimes your pet may have a medical ailment that is causing the problem. If they get a clean bill of health, it may be a behavioral issue causing the problem. I know when I first introduced a new pet into the home that was the first thing to happen: accidents. I only realized later, after checking online, that I should have introduced the new pet very slowly into the household. I do plan to repurchase when needed and I will continue to update this review if I have any additional helpful information to add.
