This product heated very quickly. It also has a large heat range. Works perfectly. Only issue, but not really a big deal is there is no way to lock it when in the iron is off. Most other flat irons have a locking device.

I've been using the Kipozi brand for about 10 years. However, its hard to find 1" plates on Amazon, so I decided to try Hot Tools based on online reviews. Wow!! I like this one better than Kipozi. After an expensive lesson of buying 2 ceramic flat irons, I realized I need titanium plates for my thick hair. This one straightens so easily, leaves my hair incredibly silky, with zero frizz! I haven't tried it for curls/waves yet, but I'm sure I will be equally pleased with the outcome :). I'm not a huge fan of the royal blue color, but that is not a deal breaker for me. Results are what sells!!!

Smoothness

I purchased this product March 2023. I like that this iron heats up quickly and slides easily over my hair. However, the outer coating has slowly been bubbling and peeling. This is disappointing. My previous iron (same brand) I used for approx 4 years and it never had this problem. It just quit heating up after so much time.

Does a great job styling hair

If you are in the market for a new flat iron, I would suggest this one. It works really, really well and when price shopping, Amazon was the lowest I could find. Under $50! The iron heats up to 450°, and there are buttons on the side to lower and raise the temperature by 10° at a time. It has a nice two-hour off feature in case you walk out the door and forget… which I do occasionally. The only thing I would say that I don’t like about the iron is that the temperature control buttons are on the side and sometimes when I’m maneuvering the iron in my hair, I turn them up or turn them down. They are in kind of an odd spot, but I don’t know where else they would put them. Really, it’s just a learning curve for me. I’ll get it figured out. This is a win!

Let me start off by saying..... I have NEVER found a straightener that was better than my Remington T-Studio and god only knows how old that thing was but I mainly bought it for the huge plates and ended up LOVING it. Well let me tell you, this is very very very comparable and actually I think almost beats it! After having the t-studio for so long... this has finally opened my eyes to new and better straighteners. The best part about this straightener is it keeps my hair straight for days on end! (As long as it doesn’t rain of course) but also, I love that with one or two passes, it straightens super quick. If you have thick, frizzy hair like I do... THIS IS the straightener for u!!! You will not be disappointed I promise!
