Big fan that cools my workshop in summer
The fan is big and a bit loud but does the job. The motor is very large and I was a little worried about the power consumption, however, it's only about 85W on the lowest speed and about 100W at the highest. The blades are shaped like an air plane propeller and it sounds like one too. Oscillation works but it's a case of unscrewing a nut and moving the connecting arm to another hole. Overall it's a good fan and should keep the workshop cooler in summer. Now to the issues. The main package arrived well taped up, however, the motor had come out of it's box inside the main box and was smashing around inside the box, this had bent the fan mesh out of shape and I'm surprised it didn't break the blades. The motor was clearly either used or refurbished. The inside of the motor was full of dirt and dust which I tried to blow out. I'm hoping it continues to work, time will tell. The motor box and polystyrene was wrapped in tape which had come apart inside consequently letting go of the motor to fly around inside the main packaging. It does work, it's mounted on the wall quite well. I think I was lucky this time.
