I put these on my dogs even though they are not technically a pet tag, but they are working great. I set up my free account, entered my contact information, and then used a QR scan app on my iPhone to test. It brought up my contact information so that a person who might find my lost pet would know how to reach me. Yes, some of that contact info is on a pet tag on their collar right now, but the best part is that I immediately got an email that my pet's Dynotag had been accessed and a link to Google map which brought up the exact location of my pet on the map. Wow, that is a great product. So I have now ordered Dynotag's real steel pet tag for my dog and extras to give to my two boys for their dogs.PS: The Dynotag Smart Mini tags can be used for other things like luggage, purse, laptop case, etc.

Those tags are fantastic to use with all keys hoping that who will find the lost keys can read the QR code and contact you. After receiving and before using it you must go to the site reading the QR code and fill the form with your name and at least your phone number.When you loose the keys and someone read the QR code you are immediately contacted by email ( IT'S A SITE SERVICE) and can see from where your QR code has been read.When it says that is GPS enabled, don't think that there is a GPS inside the tag (this is impossible) but it's because if someone read it you know the position where it has been read.It's a really good idea that can works if found from someone who cares about other's things.

On the one hand, the website is nice and easy to use. It's easy to swap out the information that you want on there. On the other hand, the tag is really not noticeable at all, which I find very disappointing. If my luggage gets lost, I suspect the likelihood is low that anybody will know what this tag is, especially because it doesn't say 'IF FOUND, PLEASE SCAN' or something similar.I really thought the tag would be a big bigger or more brightly colored. It's quite expensive for a small piece of plastic (yes, plastic, not a "special synthetic") with a QR code, especially because the cost to the developers is simply maintaining the website and small amounts of your data. There is NO tracking technology in this thing. It is NOT GPS enabled. It assumes that the cell phone that scans the QR code is GPS enabled and will allow the Dynotag website to record its location. However, no dice if someone uses a tablet without a cellular connection to scan the Dynotag. A bit deceptive don't you think?

This is my third purchase of these tags. Some as gifts and others for new luggage. If your luggage is stolen I'd guess you'd be out of luck as I can't see a thief helping you to locate your bag but, if the bag was discarded you might get it back. If the bag is lost all the finder need do is scan the tag and the info you've provided is shown to them. Easy set up and there's no experation date no battery to replace. They come in various sizes for luggage,keys, pets and even a ICE for first responders. Great protection at a reasonable price. Highly recommend.

The only thing this product has provided for me has been peace of mind. I've never had a "hit" with somebody other than myself scanning the tag, but on principle it makes sense. I was surprised that all 3 tags in this set are the same exact QR Code / ID -- I thought when I made the purchase that these would be three separate IDs. After numerous opportunities during extensive international travel, I know that TSA and others do not routinely scan this. It simply provides an opportunity for a good samaritan to find you the "high-tech way" if they want that. You'd do just as well to have a tag with your phone number clearly marked on a waterproof, tough tag.

I am not computer savvy,"specially encoded QR code" does not mean anything to me. I read in the description it had GPS, it is attached to luggage, purse, etc., if luggage lost you could sign into your account and locate luggage. Well I found out this was not the case.My daughter left for Chile 2 days ago, I inserted tag INSIDE her backpack, and of course her backpack did not make it to Chile. Well, I am so smart, I can sign into "Dynotag" and locate her back pack. I was so disappointed to find out this is not how this tag works. The tag needs to be on the outside of luggage, if some nice person was to find her luggage, look on the tag, they would have to be familiar with "Dynotag" and know to type in website address, type in special code numbers, and that's it. So when I log into her account, it just tells me where on this globe, if somebody was actually nice and "Dynotag" savvy enough to get on the Dynotag site. It served no purpose for me, thank goodness it was on $8 and I did buy 3. In the future I will spend more money to purchase a "real" GPS battery operated luggage locater.

Love the fact that I have discrete tagging on all my luggage. Very function. The scan of the tag shows location of the scan, and just the relevant details that you want to allow to be seen. Perfect security for the frequent traveller like myself. Will be buying more for the rest of the family, and to use for other items. Great value also that the database website is free, with no annual subscriptions required. Would recommend looking at the rest of their product range.
