HELLA 002768821 Black 92mm 24V Disc Horn Kit (Universal Fit)

I bought these to replace the stock horn on my Yamaha XT250. The stock horn is loud, but not as loud as these. It didn't command attention like these do. I proved that out yesterday when a large pickup truck pulled out from across the street and I know he didn't see me until I startled him with the horns! These are larger than the stock horn and mounting them was a challenge, but I mounted them using one of the frame bolts. They don't face forward but I was concerned about blocking too much airflow to the engine. Regardless, they are LOUD AND CLEAR, and the electrical system seems to handle them just fine.

Purchased as a replacement for my KLR650 horn that's sounding a little tweety and thin. Not a direct swap, this new horn is a little thicker and the threaded mounting shaft is too short so it won't go in the OEM mounting location, but I was able to bend the included mounting tab 90 degrees and there's a mounting screw in the frame next to the stock position, fit in perfectly. Sits about 3/4" higher than stock, wiring terminals are the same as stock, they slipped right on. Oh man, is this thing loud. I might have to put a piece of cardboard or plastic over the top of it to focus the sound forward and away from my ears so I don't startle myself. Seriously, easily twice as loud as the OEM and a thicker, punchier sound. HELLA quality, hella good, hella loud.

UPDATE: After just a few months these horns don't sound anymore. Seems that it is a low quality item. Old Review: The Hyundai Creta has a from factory horn that seems more suited for a bike. These are suited for a car...even a larger car. Excellent built and sound.

Nice product ... Not very loud ... Will replace as soon as possible

Replaced some old horns on a 1989 car. Great quality and plenty loud! Highly recommend for any application. Mine did not have 2 terminals so just had to connect one to the factory wiring and ground the second terminal and worked great!

This was an easy plug and play replacement for my motorcycle horn, but I wasn’t impressed with the loudness. This was slightly louder than my factory horn, but not worth the replacement. I’ll keep shopping.

They look allot like my oe stock horns on my 83 motorcycle and sound loud. I'm happy with them and work very good for the price.

Nul part il est dit explicitement qu'il s'agit d'un lot de 2 Klaxons! Grosse surprise. Autre surprise: si ces Klaxons sont plus bruyants, c'est aussi qu'ils sont plus gros. Vérifier bien que votre emplacement est favorable. Sur une moto, vrai problème!

Funktioniert

I used this horn to replace a dead alarm horn on my 2017 Jetta GLI. I had to bend the bracket a bit and re-work the wiring, but the stock horn was so expensive that these modifications were not a big deal for a $20 horn. Much louder than the stock horn.

Acquistato per sostituire il clacson di fabbrica di una Subaru, a mio avviso poco udibile, soprattutto viaggiando in autostrada a velocità "elevata" (entro i limiti del codice!). La confezione dichiara 110 decibel; non disponendo di un fonometro non posso dire se sia effettivamente così, ma di certo il suono è più potente del "meep-meep" di cui questo clacson ha prtil posto. Se qualcuno dovesse essere curioso di com'è il suono, trovo che assomigli abbastanza al tipico clacson Mercedes-Benz.

Las instalé en un Smart y quedaron excelentes, el coche traía solo una corneta en un solo lado y ya se escuchaba un sonido muy débil, para instalarla, pasé un cable y quedó excelente, emite un buen sonido . Por supuesto, poco hay que decir, es Hella
