Inkjet Printable Dual Layer DVDs at Incredible Value
I too was hesitant to buy based on lack of brand recognition. But for the price and due to previous reviews, I decided to give them a try. Burned 10 out 50 so far. No issues whatsoever. That's better than what other competitor reviews will say. They also print very well on my Canon MX922 - but I did have to lower the contrast as they seem to print very dark in the blues/blacks. Krylon matte finish spray seem to take to them well in an effort to preserve the printed image. I'm very pleased with them and will surely recommend them to others that might need printable discs.EDIT: As I was writing the review above I was amidst a 27 DVD burning marathon. And on the 11th DVD - of course as I wrote it on the 10th - I had a failure to verify after burning. It was the only 1. Still, very please and just tonight I took the time to print art to all the DVDs and use Krylon clear matte craft spray to seal them. They all look fantastic!

Excelent product BUT...
These dvd's haven't let me down yet. I haven't had a single bad one.Now... Here is the BUT...THEY STINK!!! I don't know what these are made from but they smell bad. If you leave them out for a couple days, it gets better and/or tolerable. They still get a 5 star but BEWARE... THEY STINK!!!

Smartbuy Dual layers blanks
So far I have used up 14 blanks. Of the 14, 12 burned fine and play back fine on my Blu Ray player. But I can't say that they will play OK on someone else player or DVD player. The two that didn't burned properly were due to my computer doing something that caused it to produce a bad burn. It had to do with my old computer, running Windows 7 and its slow response sometime to implement a task in the background while burning. If one have a slow computer like me, you would want to make sure to turn off any task being run in the back ground like your email, or web update that get done in background. All it takes is for your computer to go out of synth with the burn process and your disc will burn wrong. So the bottom line is that I am satisfied with this brand of blanks, which are made in Vietnam, by Ritek, the manufacturer.

Fantastic quality disc at a very reasonable price.
I will admit, I had my doubts with a non-named brand disc. But like a few other reviews, I was ready to switch away from the previous manufacturer since they jacked the prices up so high. And it helped that Smart Buy had a pretty good rating. With my previous brand I was down to my last 10 DVD's and I started to get failed burns. About every 4th disc was failing. Which was discouraging. Of course I ran out of blank media and needed to burn a few more disc. I updated the firmware in my burner (Which only improved BR playback) and received my new Smart Buy DVD's. The very first burn was flawless. As well as the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th now. I will definitely be buying this product again.

Mine died after 2 1/2 years
Updating this old review to say these are JUNK in the long-term. They worked initially as Xbox 360 discs in 2021, specifically for XGD3 stuff, but trying to play a couple recently lead to trying them ALL out a few days ago, and they're all dead and/or dying. The first picture is a Discspeed scan of a disc that won't read, and the second is of one that does read, both were burned in 2021 and stored safely. I had roughly 30% of the spindle still left - also stored safely - and burned some other games to test, and the third picture is the result of that in 2023. If you need DVD9's really quick, really cheap, for a throwaway project with zero longevity, these discs are for that, don't trust these with anything you need to save. Modern Verbatim DL's aren't exactly the premium discs they used to be either, but will probably last a lot longer than these

There is nothing to dislike
I've been using this product for at least 5 years now and have never had a coaster. Maybe I just been fortunate but I really believe its so much more than that. Great product, what more needs to be said.

Unreliable. Every burned DVD should be checked for errors.
The success rate is approximately 50% with this brand. Almost every second disc comes with the failure message. Even at the speed 4, they'd been failing. I think it pays off buying perhaps more expensive but better quality discs.
