Where is the whistle, I just received my bag but there seems to be no whistle

No whistle, bad sticking. Mine had a missing piece. What can you expect from CCP made junk

Has anyone used this for serious backpacking?

I definitely would not use it for serious backpacking. You get exactly what you pay for. Not much. But it's great for that 50 yard hike from your car to the campsite

Is single or double zippered?

Must agree. Entire bag is pretty low quality but the zippers are particularly poor. Constantly getting jammed up and/or stuck. I know you shouldn't expect much from a $25 hiking pack but basic features like zippers should work right out of the box

How much does this pack weigh?

Not sure of exact weight. However, it is a very light weight pack.
