Gentle, Worth the money
There isn’t much to say about this because it’s literally from Korea and K beauty is everywhere. This isn’t a harsh retinal, and the low dosage makes it easy to use and ease into.

Highly recommended
It’s on the pricier side but highly recommended Korean beauty skincare product. I’ve used it for a over month so far. You have to start out 1x/wk and gradually increase until you get to daily use. I have yet to see long term effects. You only need a pea size to apply on your face at night. Make sure you apply a moisturizer after before going to bed. I have not had any breakouts from using this. My skin absorbs it nicely. It’s not greasy when applied. I use it on my face and neck area.

Had high expectations but...
Honestly for the price, I felt like it was not worth the hype. I did not see an amazing improvement on my skin. It felt okay on my skin, but I regret spending full price on this item. I think there are better products out there for half the price.

Very moisturizing
I'm a regular user of retinoids, so my skin is pretty tolerant. I had no sensitivity issues with Dr. Different Retinal Anti-Aging and Anti-Wrinkle Night Treatment. It comes in a small tube, and dispenses a very small line of product. I like this, as this moisturizer is plenty expensive so I don't want to over-dispense. I've been using this at night but only on my problem areas since it's so pricey. I pat it on around my mouth and eyes as well as my forehead. It does a fantastic job of moisturizing overnight- the areas I applied it to the night before are super soft and supple. It did cause a case of the retinoid uglies along my jaw line about a week in, but that started improving after a few days. The ingredients are top notch. Besides Retinal There is Squalane, Hyaluronic acid, Ceramide 3, and Tocopherol. As to what they do:‣Antioxidant: Carthamus Tinctorius Seed Oil, Tocopherol‣Cell-communicating ingredient: Retinal, Adenosine‣Skin-identical ingredient: Glycerin, Squalane, Cholesterol, Sodium Hyaluronate, Ceramide 3‣Moisturizer/humectant: Glycerin, Sodium Hyaluronate, Polyglutamic AcidSo why Retinal instead of Retinol? First, tretinoin is the top dog of the family of retinoids. Its is retinoic acid, the stuff your skin can use. Retinol (with an O) has to be converted through two steps in the skin to become retinoic acid. Our skin isn't always great at the conversion though, so we don't always get all the retinoic acid we hope for out of the conversion.Retinal (with an A) is only one conversion step away from retinoic acid. So it only needs one step to become active in the skin and our skin is much more efficient at the conversion at this level. In a study there was a comparison of use of .05% retinal with .05% retinoic acid and they concluded that "at week 18, a significant reduction of the wrinkle and roughness features was observed with both retinaldehyde and retinoic acid." and the difference between the two was not statistically significant. So, retinal is as good as it gets without a prescription for tretinoin. Fantastic stuff.

Comparable to other wrinkle creams
I am in my 40s now and starting to get fine lines and some wrinkles and need to start doing something about it. I have tried a couple of different products--first I tried a serum with hyaluronic acid and did not love it. I would put it on my face, but after several days, I felt like it caused me to break out and just didn't love it at all. I tried an over the counter wrinkle cream with sunblock that I use in the morning and really like, but I wanted something I could use at night. So far, this hits the mark. I have been putting a little on every night and it doesn't cause any irritation and it doesn't feel greasy or heavy on my skin. I also like that it has so many powerhouse ingredients in it--retinal (works even faster than retinol), hyaluronic acid, and other vitamins. The hard thing is with these kind of creams you won't probably ever notice what it is doing, however, I feel like if I keep using it, it will help with fine lines, wrinkles, moisturizing, among other benefits.

Effective and easy to use, but probably not cruelty-free.
This is the third Dr. Different product I have tried. I've been using it, along with two other Dr. Different products, for the last few weeks. I have had an okay experience with it, though I have followed suggested usage instructions and have only used it every two or three days rather than every day because I have frequently sensitive skin. I use it as the final step in my routine, following cleansing, toning, then applying serum or treatment. I actually haven't had any noticeable irritation from using it, fortunately, which is a little surprising since it contains retinal (which is Vitamin A), a substance that can cause light sensitivity. It moisturizes and layers well, and I like that the small tube is easy to drop into my travel bag.I ordered all three products from this brand at the same time, and I didn't know anything about the company's ethos or values. While I think they are all decent products, I tried and tried to find out whether or not this line is cruelty-free...to no avail. As it's a product made in South Korea, it's probably safe to assume that no animals were harmed during the course of its development. Unfortunately, most Korean skincare products are sold in mainland China, where animal testing is still compulsory. That means this company either tests their products on defenseless cats and rabbits themselves, or they pay some third party to do that dirty work. Either way, animals suffer. I can't recommend a brand that cares more about profits than pain, so I can't recommend this one.
