Get back some control
Riding mowers will never be known for their track prowess, but directional control is important none the less. This kit replaces the worn out rack and pinion on your mower. The pinion gear seems to be a little less soft alloy than other pinions I’ve tried, and the stamping on the rack is much crisper than others with squarer edges, so it engages the pinion better. It’s a pain to replace, but worth it.

Perfect fit for my John Deere LA135
Perfect fit. I mow more than the average homeowner, and I make “stripes” in my lawn. With neighbors on both sides, you have to turn right to get the stripes right! That really puts wear on the steering mechanism, so much this is my third set since purchase of my tractor in 20 years. You can’t beat the price, and it includes all the parts. The only thing that would make it better would be some instructions or QR code to videos. With a little mechanical ability it’s a quick swap. You can’t beat the price!

Good price, ok quality, didn’t last as long as I wanted
Bought this instead of Oem parts, the steering is a bit loose, cost was good, fits good. See pics, gear only lasted a little over 2 years. Overall not bad.
