Does this have a tracking chip so you can use a app to find them?

Yes, Use Find My to track your Beats Studio Buds on a map or play a sound to locate them. Find My requires an iPhone or iPod touch with iOS 14.5 or later, iPad with iPadOS 14.5 or later, or Mac with macOS Big Sur 11.3 or later. Customers must have an Apple ID and be signed into their iCloud account with Find My enabled

Do they automatically connect when you put them into your ears? And does the music pause when you take them out?

They automatically connect once you take them out of the case but they dont pause when you take them out of your ears.

How do they work for laptop video calls, especially the microphone? Will my audience listen to me well?

True. Great sound for video and music! The external noises around us make call performance for those on the receiver. Moving dishes a bit almost left someone deaf! Not for work calls or calling on the go.

Are these good for working out?

No, not for working out. Get the Beats pro with the wing that fits more securely in the ear. You can run with the Pro Beats and they won't fall out.
