40A 4-Port Lipo Battery Balance Charger, Thor 6S Parallel Charging Board, with XT60/XT30 Plugs, Compatible with ISDT/IMAX/HOTA Chargers for 2-6S FPV Drone Batteries

Pros: Compact and simple design, removable cables, fused and well insulated, great overall quality. Cons: The only con I can think of is the onboard discharger is not very intuitive, hard to tell if it does anything but that's probably just the slow nature of a discharger. I use two of these to charge 8x 6S 1500mAh LiPos simultaneously for my larger 6" drone, as well as 4x 2S 550mAh LiPos for my small 2" drone. Having both XT30 and XT60 is really great, and the simple but well insulated design makes it very safe (so long as you are familiar with the nuances of parallel charging). The one thing I have tried to use, but not had much experience with, is the discharger - from my understanding it will bring the cell voltage down to storage voltage (3.8V), but usually I am trying to bring them back up to storage voltage after a flight rather than discharging a fully charged pack so I have not used it pretty much at all. A cool feature to have I guess.

I ended up getting two of these eventually because I like the build quality and versatility. I don’t have any complaints with using this at all minus maybe the exact location of the balance plug to the xt30/60 plugs, but that really depends on the battery and how long the leads are. I find its sometimes easier to plug the xt connector into the first slot but the balance into the second slot for certain batteries.

BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU USE THIS! Use this incorrectly, you will burn down your house. that being said, when following safe practices this thing is great! its well built, and thoughtfully designed, and a joy to use! I see amazon thinks I said easy to use... NO it is not "easy" to use, it must be respected and operated with caution!

Xt60 and xt30 compatible. I was told certain brands are safer then others. This caught my eye with price at first while I was looking for a parallel charger that does xt 60 and xt30. upon arrival I was really happy with the quality of build. Very safe if you know how to parallel charge. The fuses work properly. Definitely top quality compared to any others I've found with both xt 60 and xt30

Using my Hobbymate duo to charge 6S lipos. I plug them in as I always do, use the same 1C settings I always do, and I get an error saying it’s the wrong battery type. It’s not the wrong battery type. My settings are correct, and none of the lights on this unit even power on when a battery is plugged in. I was counting on this parallel charging board to work as I needed it to arrive right before a major photography trip, and I will no longer be able to fly my drone as much as I want because this item doesn’t work. Garbage. Edit: The board works if I unplug the balance cable and use it in a completely unsafe manner. If you’d like to burn your house down, use this charger. I’m sure the manufacturer doesn’t care about faulty products or customers so I’ll just find a brand that doesn’t encourage house fires.

I've purchased parallel Chargers in the past and have had success and failures with them. This specific brand has by far the best quality hands down. Xt30 and xt60 plugs fit snug opposed to the other brand which are always loose balancing ports are perfect no way you can put your balancing plug in backwards every port is fused and there is a discharge module at the bottom by far the best well worth the extra three to four dollars

Lipo parallel charging is inherently dangerous. So many things can go wrong resulting in a lipo fire which is a problem putting out. This board has fuses for everything greatly reducing the risk. The XT30 a XT60 connectors eliminate adapters. Stay away form those cheap parallel charging boards.
