Vehicle that this was psrt of a coolant system overhaul2002 trans am first upgrade was the radiator to a all aluminum 3 row,Next was the mechanical coolant pump to a mezerie WP319R electric water pump 55 honThen all the belts, 3 idlers and all coolant hoses radiator and. Heater core, and finally the fan to a sixteen inch single unitFlex-a-lite 118 Black 16" LoBoy Electric FanThis fan is the best it pulls and pulls it’s the heart to the system it does exactly as advertised my buddy came over with a fan pressure gauge after the installation of the fan, and checked the fans out put and it’s 2487 CFM SO THEY DID NOT LIE ABOUT THE FANS OUTPUT AND ITS SLIM FIT… INTO a very tight SPACE WITH NO ISSUES . If you’re looking for a slim high power fan at a great price, go no further this Flex-a-lite 118 Black 16" LoBoy Electric Fan Is a choice That you will have no regrets.

Great fan for performance applications
Not to difficult to install. I have bought the no name brand fans before. I should have bought a flex a lite fan from the start. Fan works great. If you are using a togel switch like me make shure its at leats 20amps or higher. Very pleased with my fan plenty of air flow for my 3 core radiator on my 1971 f250. 👍👍 . note a 20amp togel switch is not enough current rating. I installed a 30amp togel switch works much better. Switch dose not over heat like a 20amp swith dose. Update on the fan performance. Works good in 100 plus degree weather. I am using a 160 deg t stat.

Great value for the money.
I installed this fan in my 1998 Ford Ranger pickup. Living and driving in Albuquerque, NM traffic, especially during the summer months can be demanding. The nice thing about this fan is that it keeps the air flow constant across the radiator and air conditioning cooler. No problem with over heating during those 100 plus degree days. This fan replaced the stock clutch driven fan. For the first time I can hear the engine while driving. Something not possible with the old noisy fan.Bottom line, this fan works great and is a good replacement for the factory stock cooling fan.

Well made
Cooled my Chevy 350 engine in no time. Alot of power for a 16" fan. Very well made.. im glad i didnt buy a cheap fan, a bit more expensive but worth the money.

Moves a lot of air.
Awesome!! Moves a lot of air on a aluminum 3 core radiator in my blown ‘71 Chevelle sbc 350 with A/C. A bit noisy as expected and costs more then the off brand fans but well worth the money. Engine runs cool and A/C stays cold in Hawaii’s heavy traffic with an average outside temp of high 80’s to mid 90’s.

Two of these fans only lasted 3.5 years (~40,000miles).
For the price and brand name of these fans, I expected more. Both of them failed nearly simultaneously in my pickup. They are both getting power to the motor via the Flex-A-Lite fan controller they're hooked up to, but they don't spin. Verified with a circuit tester that the wire is hot right into the motor case and that the ground is good, and yet they don't budge. If the brand name is three times the price of the "knock-off" and is just as reliable, why spend the extra money? Two knock-off fans have been ordered to replace these.

Great fan!
Installed this on my race car and it has improved cooling over the stock dual-fan setup. The unit is very well constructed, surprisingly heavy. My only suggestion for the manufacturer would be to make the mounting points more generic. The mount points appear to work with some type of mounting system or fasteners which are not included in the kit.
