RESCUED: Saving the Lost Horses (The Dimity Horse Mysteries) Paperback – June 11, 2021

Once you fall in love with a horse, you are addicted. The sad story about horses misused for evil gets to the heart of the bad and good human and what can happen to horses. There are some very interesting fictional people in the book. They really exist in the real horse world too.

Rescued has us revisiting Lane Dimity and his friends as they become involved in solving another mystery and rescuing another group of horses. As with Muted, the story is well-written. I did find it a bit more convoluted than the first book. One of the things I enjoy about the author's style is her ability to describe things from the horses POV. The author alternates between the various human characters and the horse characters. Since the horses were in danger I was always anxious to read the next section about them. But I have to say the biggest nail-biting section for me was when Tom and Vicki were run off the road. I almost violated my normal sense of order and had to really restrain myself to not jump ahead to find out if they survived. The books in this series have a component of enhanced communication and relationship between humans and horses. This communication is so beautifully described that it makes you want it for yourself and your horse (or dog, cat, etc.). It leads you to greater respect for the value of all creatures. The book is very engaging. You either love or hate the various characters. The relationship of Lane with his wife and friends is wonderful. And anyone who loves horses will enjoy the descriptions of the horse relationships with each other and with the humans.

Capturing and holding your attention and wanting to trun the page to see what's next.The charters are believable, so real you fall into the story.

Once again, Leanne Owens has penned a remarkable story centered around the souls of horses and the people who love and protect them.The Dimity Mystery Series is important to horse people and those wanting to know about the darker side of greed, not appreciating horses, and cruelty.Rescued wasn't easy to read at times. However, it summoned courage and willingness in the characters to do whatever it takes to turn the floodlights on illegal actions and save horses.I cried. I sat on the edge of my seat. I rejoiced. I encourage readers, especially those who love horses, to follow Lane Dimity, Matt, Andrea, Karen, Tom, Vicki, and Grace on a journey through Australia and Venezuela.I encourage readers to follow this author, Leanne Owens.

Good read with a colorful cast of characters. The story is interesting and well written though I sometimes got characters confuse as the have names that are not familiar to me. Over all and enjoyable book.

An amazing adventure after Muted. This story is a little less emotional, but just as amazing.If you love horses, and you love adventure, READ IT!!!

I have read quite a few of the horse books by Leaane Owen's. I absolutely loved the Riders of the Outback series. After finishing those 5, I have read Muted and Rescued. They are heavier reading, but really well written and thoughtful. I love Lane and his group as much as I loved the Outback riders. Now onto Hunted.

Great book l stayed up reading till 1 in morn as din t want to put the book down Every page in the book held my interest Also l had a hard time guessing how everything would turn out. This book is one of the best books l ever read & I have read books all my life

I really enjoyed Leanne’s first book ‘Muted’ ..... and this second was equally as good, if not better.I loved the introduction of new characters and the relationships formed between the human characters as well as the equines.I simply adored the explanation of the “127” ( trying hard not to introduce a spoiler here)The “quotes” at the beginning of each chapter almost makes me believe that Lane Dimity is not a figment of Leanne’s imagination, but an actual true, amazing person!I’m off to read book 3 in this series ..... but if you love horses, excitement, suspense and great, believable characters, then I STRONGLY recommend you read these books.Well done Leanne, I applaud you! 👏👏👏

My new favourite author! Another excellent storyline with great characters. This series of books have had me on the edge of my seat with original storylines . Crying at the humane aspect that all horse lovers the world over recognise Uk based page SEU on Facebook referenced also "patchytwat" shows current relevant insight. Great read and fab story
