Clear, concise and informative
This is a terrific teaching aid. The high school I teach at has been using this video for several semesters to introduce students to the basics of block printing. Viewing it take less than a period and covers all the fundamentals of developing a sketch, transferring the sketch to the print block, rolling out and inking the block, burnishing and pulling the print. This program also shows how to make a two-color prints, and addresses how to safely carve a print block. This is an excellent resource I would recommend to any art instructor, or art enthusiast.

Good to see it being done as opposed to just reading.
This topic is hard to find on DVD and it really helps to see the artist actually making the prints. One and two color prints are covered. Would like to see more on making the design, and the differences between drawing on paper, and designing for a block print. Would also like to have seen more on the usage of the different blades. But overall a good intro.

Great Introductory Video to Block Printing!
This DVD covers the tools, materials and techniques needed to begin creating our own block prints.Creating a design, transferring the design to your block, and carving the block are covered, as well as safety guidelines.The lessons take you through the steps of creating single color prints and multi-color prints.My friend and I have watched this DVD through three times and have most of our supplies. The rest are on backorder. Then we will start making our own block prints!

Good basic video
I liked this video, which is a good basic primer for block printing. I would recommend to anyone else who is a beginner at block printing like myself. Answered enough of my questions to help me get started - by first block prints came out great!

Good for the classroom
Short bits of information and kept my middle school students in gaged. The presentation doesn't use linoleum for his medium but close enough for the information to get the basics for printmaking.
