You can put it on a timer, or leave it on.

Has anybody managed to connect it to their phone?

Managed to connect the projector to my iPhone. Use the settings app on an iPhone and select Bluetooth. My projector is called BTK10. So just select that and Connect. It will be similar on an Android. Have not used the app on my iPhone.

How do you know when its charging

I think it only works when it’s connected, so as soon as you connect it it switches on
