Microplane Artisan Series Parmesan Cheese Grater and Zester (Fine, Green)

I love to cook and use lemons very often. The lemon zester I owned for many years just never worked well. It wasn't sharp enough. So after fighting with the old one, I decided to purchase one that actually worked! This Microplane zester is the greatest gift I have given myself in a while. It is really sharp!!! It takes no time at all to get lots of zest and it's awesome how the protective cover catches all the zest. Easy to clean, although I've only hand washed it. It's easy to grip and I like it doesn't slide on the countertop when using. This is a high-quality product and I'm sure it will last a very long time. So happy to have this great kitchen tool.

I looked all over for the Microplane fine graters to grate the zest from lemon skin but I could not find one in any of the grocery stores or kitchen supply stores. I had read such raving reviews for the Microplane, but I could only find it online & sometimes they were very expensive. I did find a couple high quality brands, like Oxo in a Walmart & purchased them, but they either did not cut deep enough to produce zest or they gouged too deeply in the lemon skins to include some of the skin flesh. A lighter touch on the latter was difficult & still produced large shavings. This Microplane zester miraculously produces very fine zest effortlessly and it is reasonably priced! I can not tell you how much better it is than anything I have used for zesting/grating. I am sure that chefs already know this, but for anyone who who is not an experienced cook (like me), you will not be disappointed in this grater. It is excellent!

I love this grater. It is good for grating parmesan cheese or zesting lemons. One of those tools that I will always have in my kitchen. The slide on cover is perfect for storing the grater in a drawer. I've had mine for at least 10 years and it works perfectly. Purchased a second one for a vacation home.

Love this thing. I've been using it weekly for well over a year now for zesting lemons and grating ginger and parmesan. I just recently discovered the grooves on the inner edges that make it possible to extract everything from the underside with ease. Basically take the back of a knife and clear it from left to right then use the dull end of the knife in the grooves to easily remove whatever remains after grating. Such an ingenious feature that's not quite mentioned but ensures you get everything out of the grater in seconds with little effort. That feature alone is worthy of 5 stars. It grates most things with ease but ginger requires a little more effort and some kind of support underneath. It isn't the sturdiest tool but the teeth are sharper than any other grater I've used and it cleans up easily. I haven't touched my box grater in forever. Highly recommend this.

This works really well on garlic, lemons and hard cheeses. It rinses off easily so you’re able to work with different foods without having to really scrub it. The handle is very comfortable which is great when grating harder foods.

This micro planer feels great in your hand. It is an easy grip and doesn’t slip around. It sharp blade works so well in any type of grateable food, like hard cheese, orange zest, lemon zest, lime zest, whole nutmeg, etc. the handle and blade are excellent quality. It’s easy to just wash down or throw in the dishwasher. Storage is easy and it comes with a blade guard. I bought a generic brand from a department store. It was terrible. I threw it out and got this - the real thing.

I love this thing so much that my husband has begun teasing me about it, because I often bring up in conversation how great it is (I cook a LOT). He doesn't cook often, but finally used it the other day to zest a lemon and he had to admit he saw what all my fuss was about! It sounds so silly but using this thing is a pleasure and fun! You get so much zest off of one lemon or lime it is ridiculous! Beautiful fluffy piles of delicious citrusy zest! And don't get me started on how awesome it grates garlic, which I use in probably 85% of my recipes. I also recently have started using fresh ginger and it grates that beautifully as well. It sits nicely on top of a small-medium bowl, or you can rest it inside of a larger bowl. The handle is quite comfortable, and it is practically effortless to run your produce of choice over this thing. You will get the job done in a snap. Also, it is a breeze to clean. I usually give it a good rinse when I'm done if I'm not washing it right away because I was afraid the dried produce would stick on it, and that can sometimes be a gluey situation, but I accidentally left it out overnight on the counter dirty the other day, and it was still super easy to clean. And you can't beat the price. Love this product!

I love this for zesting. It is much easier to use than a more aggressive zester.

I'm not a fan. It seems to have gotten dull much more quickly than the early microplane models, and while the handle is useful, food gets trapped between the plastic rim and the back of the grating surface, making cleanup a hassle.

Diese Reibe ist für Parmesan allererste Sahne! Wir haben sie selbst schon zwei Jahre und inzwischen mehrfach Freunden geschenkt. Parmesan wird wunderbar fein und luftig gerieben, ohne dass man Unmengen von Kraft aufwenden muss ein tolles Klingenblatt!
