I got this to use on a smart lock ( Non- Hornbill brand) in my machine shop. This lock uses the TT Lock app. I was concerned but the gateway linked up easily. I was able to associate it with my smart lock. As soon as that was set up Alexa announced she had discovered the gateway and lock. As with all of my Hornbill equipment it just works like it should.

Very straightforward: plug it to the outlet, wait for the light turn into a blinking blue light and that's it. Remote control of your accesses at your fingertips. I used it more than once, since our roommates tend to forgot their own passwords... Just go the app, click in the remote opening and that's it. What it lacks: a double sided glue tape could be embedded in it back. What I don't like: I used it inside my room, and the blinking light (like 1 blink every 5 seconds) was kind of annoying in complete darkness. I think that it's too bright. Since I moved it to the main room, it don't bother me anymore!

Easy to connect to wifi….locked and unlocked my smart lock on the first try ….drove a couple of miles away and unlocked my front door to see if the gateway was functioning…it worked as the door was unlocked when I got home a few minutes later… got a great deal on Prime Day , thanks Amazon !

Absolutely hate it. It is hard to set up and customer care is a joke. Wish I never bought it.

The Hornbill G2 Gateway Wi-Fi Bridge is perfect to make your smart lock wifi.

Only downside I have with it is the bright flashing light always on. Even if you loose power meaning your wifi goes out, I still got a notification once power was restored exactly when my door was opened.

We really like the Hornbill smart lock and after getting this gateway we like it even more. It's been handy to open the door for our kids who show up when we're away. Instead of trying to keep a spare key somewhere we can open it where ever we are. Also it's nice to unlock the door while we're pulling into the driveway so we don't have to fiddle with the door carrying things in at the same time.
