Reallly nice pencil, it enables a smooth writing experience, and because the lead rotates writing is consistant. The build quality is what you expect with an Uni pencil, it feels well built and will last. The pencil has fast become my goto mechanical pencil, in part because the body is a little wider than most other mechanical pencils and with bigger hands it sits just right. This pencil does not come with many extra leads so be sure to pick up a set of refils. The pentel ain 0.5 B's work brilliantly with this pencil.

Brilliant. At first it feels light, is it plastic you ask. The black nib bit unscrews,it hold the metal holed sleeve in place. The code is plastic. The black button end seems to be metal, and slots in with a reassuring click. It hides an eraser, holding in the spare leads, only one supplied😢, but buy your own. Also note the eraser is narrower than other ones I've met so I use a separate eraser to ensure I still have a lead retaining bung. Price it is a bit dearer than some (mostly plastic ) offerings, but not extremely OTT like rot..... can be.

Excellent pen, I’ve been looking for a good mechanical pencil for a while and this is perfect, is heavy at the base which makes it easy to write with and the auto dispensing lead makes it much nicer to use. It is also very durable and hasn’t scratched or dented yet

Sensational, much better than the not pro version , the only thing I would say is that the grips for your fingers aren't as good as the non pro , they opt for holes instead of rubber.

The kurutoga is the best mechanical pencil I’ve ever owned. I now have 2 and have just bought another for a friend of mine who shares my weird liking for awesome stationary. No flat spot on the lead due to the clever camming system and the lead tube retracts into the body when not in use so it doesn’t stick you when it’s in your pocket. Fantastic design.

This became my favorite pencil for taking notes at courses / trainings. It's brilliantly handy, heavy enough for not feeling that cheap experience as with any ordinary pen, beautiful shaped, having a robust and durable feeling, sensitive and genius in the same time.

I have used the Uni Mechanical Pencil Kurutoga Roulette Model, Gun Metallic, 0.5 mm (M510171P.43) for work for a few years now in my job of calibrating flow meters. I find it robust, well made, well balanced and good value. I saw this upgrade model, so I decided to treat myself. After using it for a week, I have gone back to my old pencil. The upgraded mechanism has a sleeve that protects the lead as it propels out of the tip, but because I keep the pencil in the breast pocket of my overalls, as I put it in my pocket, it pushes the metal sleeve back into the pencil, leaving an extended piece of lead sticking out. This became a bit of a nuisance, having to retract the lead manually to then extend it again, ready to use. It's a nice pencil, but it doesn't have the quality metal feel and good balance of the old Roulette model.

Came in original packaging too 👍 The bottom of the pencil is all made from metal and only the top is made of plastic. The weight distribution of the pencil is all close to the tip which makes for a very comfortable writing expetience. Didnt realise how much i love and needed the line consistency from the kuru toga as i tried switching back to my old fure fure corone and immediately hated the big fat line and having to manually turn the pencil to get a sharp thin line only to be back to the fat ugly line in just a few seconds. All these problem are solved here with this pencil and the metal premium feel of the pencil is also what i didnt know i needed too 😂 Writing with a plastic pencil and a metal pencil makes ALOT of difference.
