It’s not as stable as the original TableMate series (I have several TableMates I can compare it to). The diagonal support rod is thinner than the TableMate’s so the top is easier to bend down at the front. The horizontal support rod on the bottom helps for moving it around with my feet.It arrived missing one of the end caps for the bottom, so it gets stuck on the carpet when moving it. I will tape it up rather than try to get a new end cap. Minus one STAR.It uses steel brackets for the support bar and legs, instead of plastic on the Tablemate, which is much better, since I can bend the metal so the bar doesn't pop out when lifting the table by the top. Plus one STAR.Overall it is a good deal at $20, which is half of what I paid for the TableMates (the XL was more). For the price, I might buy more of these if I need to, rather than the $40 Tablemate.

It is not as sturdy as I thought it would be although it will do just fine. Easy to put togetherand used it right away. Great buy and I will enjoy using it daily.

I have another item just like this and that's why I ordered yet another but when this one arrived I was obviously of lesser quality than my original model. This one works and the table is just as good but the bar and way that the table is supported and held in place is shaky at best and I don't know that it's going to hold up that long. Time will tell but it doesn't lock into place like my original table and thus I can't depend on it as well. It works as described but the quality could be much better.

It works pretty well as a table for my couch. I got it because I got surgery on my neck and needed a little table near the couch to put water and dishes on. Now, I use it for my lap top. It is not super sturdy, and you have to be careful if you lift the top it will disconnect from its notch underneath and fold up, but it has held up very well through cats stepping on it and lots of use over the past couple of months!

Nope. Having already owned a Table-Mate II, I was hoping to get a second one and was fooled by a product picture that looked the same but sadly is not. Upon opening the package I immediately noticed a difference between the quality of our original TV tray and this ridiculously inferior copy. Upon putting it together to confirm my hypothesis that purchasing this was not one of my better ideas, I discovered that not only is it a miserable POS, it is an absurdly miserable POS. To start with, the legs, support rod, and tray are made of lower-grade materials. By which I mean the metal is so thin that a small bump from my toy poodle means possible collapse. The measurements for assembly hadn't been completed correctly. That's a fancy way of saying that the tray isn't flat and won't lie flat no matter what you do, including death-threats and prayer. The legs are wobbly meaning only one actually rests fully on the floor with the other looking like it's trying to make a break for it. Perhaps it wants to run over to the Table-Mate factory to be melted down and used properly for a REAL table.

I wanted to like this table but I can't. Yes, it assembles easily with no tools, folds up for storage, has adequate height adjustment, and the tray is nicely sized. However, it has 2 major flaws. With only 3 angle adjustments, the tray is never level. It either slopes away from you, or toward you. Horrible if you want to use it as a TV tray table (my intended use). Add that the tray is very slippery and you have stuff sliding into your lap or on the floor. I'll use it for something, or store it away, but should have known better when I saw "Sold by Miles Kimball", not exactly high quality products. Keep looking for something better.

I'm going backyard camping this summer. I found this tray table to put my laptop on. Perfect size. This product came from the Amazon Warehouse and is in pristine condition. Assembly took about a minute, quick and easy. The price was extremely reasonable at $18.00, so I snagged it. Very, very happy with this purchase. This table is also adjustable to 6 different heights. Really handy to have.

Bought to use as couch desk for my teenager (homeschool due to covid-19). It a little flimsy on end not hooked to legs, but does the job. Holds the laptop and forces him to sit up. Folds down out of way when not in use.
