This were a Christmas present to my son, who is a disable Iraq/Afghan veteran. He is hard to buy for but this was a great gift.

I played Warhammer 40K many years ago, and am interested in Kill Team, but have been hesitant to invest in Imperial Guard models because I know that Games Workshop has been mostly ignoring them for years now. Well I finally decided to get a kit to see what's updated and get an army started again. I am disappointed.You can change the name. You can update the packaging seven times over the last decade and a half. You can cut the number of available models in half, and increase the price saying they are higher quality miniatures now, but the Sprues in the box (except one) are the same that were released way back in 2005 but cost way more. Same mold lines as I remember. The confusing placement of some of the mold supports are still in the same place too which can ruin some models if not cut in a stupidly specific way. I will say the newer Sprue that comes with it looks very nice with all the added head options, but this just shows even more how out of date the rest of the kit is and has been for years now.

Yeah GW is just charging more for things that should've been in the standard box from the get go.

The kit didn’t come with a power sword, plasma rifle, plasma pistol, or sniper rifle. Very disappointed about this. Was planning on building a fire team and wanted to have all the weapon options. Purchased through National Art Supply, would not recommend.

This is the old box of cadian troops and is not what is advertised. Will not buy again.

One new sprue, $15 price hike? And wait, don’t tell me, it’s not like it actually allows you to make more figures than the older version? The bodies are the same tired bits from the kit that have been it for the last DECADE??? Sign me up. NOT.

Wish it was cheaper but comes with plenty of options, overall one of the better values where you get 10 minis for roughly 3 bucks a piece.
