The concept is great, but execution is lacking
I was really excited about this product. Amazon reviews are misleading as several products are lumped together.As for the SanDisk Ixpand Wireless Charger & Backup. Great Idea but I found two major flaws:1) Charging pad design - The shallow recess is great for aiding in centering small phones, but that is where it ends. The addition of this indent causes larger phone with cases to be out of reach for Qi charging. Would be better to have a flat surface.2) Application is a bit buggy. Lost connection to my WiFi and was not easy to get back into sync. This caused the inability to view thumbnails that had been deleted from the phone but were saved to the device.Last issue (and this may have been operator) is connecting to device to my PC and trying to view images there. Appeared to have encrypted the files; which is good, but getting to a point where I could view them was troublesome. Since I had already decided to return the device, I did not invest a great deal of time in resolving.

Rip off
Was difficult to set up in would not charge my phone with my Otterbox defender Case on even though it's 2mm and they claim cases 3mm and less

If the light is red then it's not charging 🤯
Charging power is great. Rubber grip is holding the phone well. I'm sure it's not going to slip accidentally. So that's the good part. The not so good part is that I had to learn to place my phone correctly to ensure phone is charging. This is not for lazy people.There's a light indicator which tells if it's charging or not. Make sure you place phone right in the middle and wait for the light to turn blue. If it's red then it's not charging.Goodluck

Not reliable
I am very disappointed in this charger. If the phone isn't exactly at the right spot it will not charge. It will not charge my kindles , with or without a case. I will place my phone right where it says it's charging but if I go back it might not be charging. Better check it often.
