My cat loves this cat food, but be aware that it's high protein and it takes 2-3 days for my cat to poop. If you want your cat to have daily healthy bowl movement, please add some fiber into the diet.

My cats love this. I’m glad that it’s a cage free option. They’ve been eating this regularly and have good health.

Lately been having a lot of fairlife protein shakes lately and I always feel bad that I cannot give any to my cat as it could be bad for his health, however, recently I tried googling Protein Dry Food for my cat since I already give him a meat based wet food, and I found this. I must say not only is the dry kibble smaller and more dense so I can give him a bit more but I’ve also found some significant changes to the quality and texture of his coat adding this to his diet over the last brand he was using. I also have been giving him a few treats here and there but man I had no idea a protein dry food for my cat would have such a drastic difference. My cat is 10 years old too so he is not very young. This is great as even if he overeats a little at least he is getting more protein and when combined with the right daily activities, he will be able to maintain greater muscle mass as he ages. It is a bit pricier than the traditional brand but you are paying for the value you get in your pets presence. As for flavors I went with chicken as it’s been more common flavor for my cat’s diet and the duck was WAAAY too expensive.

I buy this for my cats. Since cats are dedicated carnivores, and based on what I've read about their protein needs, this product meets those needs at a reasonable price. There are foods available with higher protein content for a buyer to purchase, but at twice the price. Instinct Ultimate still meets the protein needs of cats at a fair price and is easily available at pet supply stores and on Amazon. Amazon offers a great price for this product. If you consider your driving time and gas used, you come out ahead ordering through Amazon.

I rarely leave reviews but I am so happy with this food. I have a cat that is borderline diabetic. I travel a couple of nights a week and have been very worried about if we got to a point of him needing insulin. I decided to do a complete diet change and eliminate daily treats. I will be honest, I gave him too many treats and that wasn’t helping him. I gradually changed out our dry food and all of my cats now eat this. They love it. I supplement in some wet food to continue working on his health and getting him as much of a high protein diet as possible. He rarely throws up anymore, he has almost stopped licking plastic, his fur is softer and he is way more playful and happy. I know he may still develop problems with insulin later on but I will have to figure that out then. But this has been a game changer for now. I’m not a vet and would consult your own vet for your cat’s needs but this is definitely worth trying!
