I keep buying this over and over. This is what mayonnaise was when I was a child - silky, smooth, with great flavor. The recipes have changed over the years to that gelatinous, stiff stuff with too many weird ingredients. And, the price is better online that the few groceries that carry the Japanese product. Do make sure it's manufactured in Japan, there is an American made product as well that is far inferior.

I wasn’t expecting to love this as much as I do, but hey, we can all admit to mistakes. The taste was fantastic, the bottle is on of the easiest squeeze mayo bottles I’ve been into contact with. Overall the shelf life was okay. I didn’t notice any particular oiliness to the taste or texture which is pretty good in my book. It’s easy for my elderly mother in law to use as well.

Finally found the perfect mayonnaise! I was pleasantly surprised with the flavor and consistency with Kewpie mayonnaise. It's wonderful and love its unique flavor for egg salad, chicken salad, and sandwiches. Over the years I've tried various brands, and Kewpie is the ultimate winner. My taste bufs love it!

I was first introduced to Kewpie Mayonnaise while we were stationed at Yokota Air Force Base in Tokyo. It's so much better than American mayo, or maybe it's just different. Until I tried Kewpie, my favorite mayo was Dukes, which is great mayo. Kewpie, however, doesn't have that sharp bite to it, it's smooth, smooth, smooth!! You don't have to stir it at all, but it does come in a squeeze bottle. I use it for everything that calls for mayo, especially my favorite chicken salad. I make it with chicken breast, chopped almonds, dried cranberries, a little chicken broth and a good bit of Kewpie mayo. There is a slight, slight sweetness to it that compliments whatever you put it in, but it's not obvious at all. Yes, it's pricey, but I don't care because it's worth it to me, and I'm one of those people you see in the grocery store comparing prices per ounce!! Yeah, I'll pay for Kewpie Mayonnaise without hesitation!!

This is really delicious. It's great in sandwiches, potatoes salads, generally in dishes where you'd add mayonnaise. It does have a bit of a gamey flavour so pair it with meaty dishes and it will cancel out the flavour.

This is very good tasting mayonnaise, I’m not happy with the shape of the bottle, hard to explain but if you won’t get mayonnaise, this is it and you’ll see about the bottle when you get it.

Hellmans? Dukes? The mayo wars are over and Japan won this one. Kewpie is the bomb! Blows those others away. Don’t believe me? Spend the $6 or $8 and change your egg salad life

This is my favourite mayonnaise. It’s Japanese, the most popular mayonnaise brand over there, and is made with egg yolks only, so it’s creamier than western mayonnaises that use the whole egg. I also find it more tangy than western mayonnaise. It has rice vinegar instead of distilled vinegar. This brand is widely available in UK supermarkets for cheaper than here on Amazon. The reason I bought this one is because it’s made in Japan, the ones in the supermarket are made in Poland and I’d read that the true Japanese ones taste even nicer. However, I couldn’t taste any difference at all between them. This is a really great mayonnaise and I’d recommend trying it.
