Prompt arrival, as expected. More importantly this is a large book,(dimension wise) and the font is easy on the eyes. As for the content, about what you'd expect. Covers the basics of grammar, plenty of examples and a quizz or three. Is it as in-depth as some other book or course? Perhaps not, but as a reference and/or a primer you could do a lot worse. And good luck finding a grammar book this concise and in--for the most part--plain English. A note of caution though, for those it might matter. It's about 'American' English

Bought this in England on Amazon.co.uk to help my son with his grammar. But staggered to see that this was a US book with US English, so of no use to me. It would thoroughly confuse someone in the UK or Ireland who is trying to perfect their English. So, I am having to return it. Amazon UK need to make this clearer!

Outrageous! If you are looking for a British grammar book this is a American grammar book! I searched for British grammar books, this was the first one that came up. Unfortunately I checked all other books ratings but forgot this; one other person has pointed this out before. Don’t buy if your looking for British English!

I like this grammar because it gives you many important hints: for instance, I found very interesting the chapter about the use of punctuation (Chapter 2). Honestly, in my opinion this book is useful to improve your English, not if you are going to begin an English grammar course, since it delves into some particular aspects of the English grammar.

It makes sense, is easy to understand, very useful to anyone, a great price, has exercises to do, and is very complete. Do not hesitate to purchase this great book on grammar and punctuation. You will not be sorry. This is the newest updated edition and is $7 cheaper than the 11th edition.
