Excellent product

So far this seems to be a solid quality valve. I have it on the outside of my house and it's holding up just fine.I'm using it as part of my sump pump system. My yard was being flooded by the sump pump so I decided to use a lay flat hose at the end to run across the sidewalk in front of my house to the street. I don't have a check valve due to freezing reasons. When the pump would finish the lay flat hose would suck shut as the water in the pipe tried to drain back into the sump. Because of this very little air could flow through the hose and the pipe would take a half-hour to drain with constant annoying trickling. I added this vacuum relief valve to the line and the pipe drains in about 2 seconds. It must let a ton of air into the line. It's perfect.This valve works flawlessly even though it's out in the elements with no protection other than the plastic cap it came with.

I was routinely replacing items on my pool plumbing to eliminate an elusive suction leak, and came across my old valve, looking pretty weather-worn and sun-beaten. My local pool supply store did not have any of these valves in stock, but luckily Amazon did. Installation was a breeze, and I was able to remove this valve from the list of suspects in my leak search. Good product, works like it is supposed to!

I installed a hybrid heat pump water heater and wanted to make sure it was protected from vacuum pressures. this valve was a fair price and does the jobs. There have been no leaks and I am able to drain the water heater without needing to open a faucet upstairs, if needed.
