You're not going to get the deep bass you would from a subwoofer and amplifier, because that's not what they are. They are however, a great upgrade from the standard speakers.There is some bass in them, so they sound much better than stock. These didn't actually fit in my 1 series, they were two small. I think I needed 4.5" not 4". A bit of MDF and traced around the old speaker and then cut out to fit these and they fit perfectly.

These DO NOT fit the F30 3 series. Too small!! Waste of time and money.

So I fitted the speakers, I tested before to put everything back, when I put the volume up, the right side start to do very bad noise, I am very disappointed for that speakers, if you buy very cheap staff I think will be better then this one!
