Want a quality stereo viewer? In my opinion the Owl viewer (version 2). This modern viewer replaces the classic stereo viewer and it folds flat for travel and storage! I purchased these personally from Brian during the 2012 National Stereoscopic Association convention. To purchase these from Brian's site Londonstereo.com will cost you $47 (at current exchange rate) each to purchase and import to the U.S. Due to this special purchase I can offer it for $30! The OWL, designed by Brian May, is a unique, high quality, stereo focusing viewer, which packs into a space only 6mm (1/4 ") thick, yet assembles in 15 seconds into a rigid precision instrument which is equally at home sitting on a page to view stereo illustrations in a book, or used in the hand as the perfect viewer for stereo cards - classic or modern.

What Goes Around, Comes Around
What goes around comes around and the Stereo Owl Viewer updates those wonderful stereograms, stereopticans or stereo viewers (whatever you want to call them), with modern materials and a simple no mess design that makes the viewing of old sterograms very easy. What prompted me to purchase this was an Android program (3D Camera), which allows one to make 3d pics with ease. The viewer is made of plastic but is substantial and can be folded for easy storage. After purchasing I received a $5.00 coupon that allowed me to download a series of historical stereographs which provides a starting point for what could become an enjoyable hobby.

A very good modern update to the old stereopticon
There are two nice things about this viewer:It folds flat for easy transport. You can easily use it if you use glasses.Beyond that, for a viewer of stereo cards, it is a reasonably priced option for a at home viewer but it's size, unfolded, still makes it a bit cumbersome to transport. It could be my eyes but focusing with it sometimes seemed to be a problem (those not needing glasses may not have a problem). It is not a unit where you can adjust the focus.Since I sometimes take 3D pictures and make stereo cards, I found the $30 price a little steep to be able to share my pictures with others but if they come to visit me it is a perfectly acceptable solution.

Great viewer!
Love the way it folds flat. Good optical quality. Way to go Brian! Note that if you decide to order Brian's books "A Village Lost and Found" (I highly recommend) or "Diableries" (haven't gotten yet), you get this viewer included, so no need to buy separately

Does the job nicely.
I have been playing with doing free hand 3D photography. I can look at my stereo pairs with the naked eye. But if you want to share with the eye control impaired then you need this tool.

I was surprised to find that the slots and tabs ...
I was surprised to find that the slots and tabs, intended to hold the unit in place for viewing, did not match up at all.I had to create my own (permanent) support pieces. I am enjoying it however, although it can no longer be closed.(The ability to adjust the distance between lenses and image is certainly a plus.)

The Owl Viewer
Exactly as I hoped it would be. It is great for viewing stereographs in books but the model 2 is just right for regular stereographs such as Keystone and others. I would highly recommend it.
