I bought one for my daughter and liked it so much I had to get one for myself. At first I thought it didn't fit right but it was an operator problem. I had my echo upside down. I am able to talk to Alexia from across the room so sound is not an issue. I wish there were more choices because I would like a black cat holder. However the owl is really cute. It has a few pits here and there but not noticeable and I think it is meant to look like a handmade ceramic piece. It is some kind of resin.

The Owl statue is really cute-in an odd Angry Bird kinda way. Overall it arrived in good condition, just a very very small chip on its beak. The color is weird (as mentioned by some other reviewers) it's definitely not white...more of a white tinged with light light green. No problem for me-but if you want a stark white you won't be happy. So far not interfering with the Dot's reception either

Just received this today and it's adorable. I think the picture shows this with the first generation dot, which appears to peak out just slightly at the top. The 2nd generation still fits nicely, it just sits a little lower in the holder. This is much nicer looking that just a random, hockey puck-like object sitting on your table. If this little owl fits your aesthetic, I would definitely recommend.

I read the reviews here several times and it took me about 2 weeks to decide if I should order this owl stand for my echo dot 2nd generation. There was such a mix of reviews. I am comparing my experience with the majority of the complaints that were posted. Based on the reviews, I was already expecting the color of the owl to be ugly and not bright white.. (well ,that was definitely accurate)! It is an off white, yellow toned white color. It does not look like a shiny ,new , bright white ceramic decoration. It looks a tad bit cheap. ( The color is not a huge issue for me personally because I'm using it on top of my dresser - which is located inside my walk-in closet where I get ready). I definitely wouldn't like it as much as a decoration if I had wanted to use it in my living room or bedroom -or in a more visible area where it was a focal point. I am actually considering painting it. It is larger than expected, but the size is nice. The owl's face looks a little evil to me, but not enough that I don't like it. As far as the fit and sound, I did not experience any issues or problems described by other reviewers. The dot fit perfectly inside the owl , the cord lined up easily and I plugged it in without any issues. The sound was great and I did not hear any difference in quality whether the dot was in or out of the owl stand. Alexa responds perfectly. I am rating this owl stand 4 stars because I think the appearance should be better for the price paid. There was also an awful chemical-like smell in the box it was packed in. The item was packed well and arrived quickly without damage. The bad smell remained contained in the box. The owl did not smell. I hope this information can help someone. (:

This is a very cute BFF for Alexa. It was packed very well but, like the other reviews, mine was chipped on the beak. I'm not sure how it got chipped before it reached me. It was totally protected. I ordered this one as a birthday gift for my daughter and she's decided to paint hers and "bling" it up so no worries here. This was reasonably priced and as long as you're willing to do a little cosmetic work it's still a good buy.The DOT fits in it perfectly and I'd like to buy myself one if there were more types to choose from. I can tell my Dot love her new BFF/home. Such a wonderful concept. I have the Echo in my family room and the Dot in my bedroom. Thought about leaving off one star because I feel like it could have been a way to thread the cord from the bottom so that so much cord doesn't show, but it's too cute!

Not white, very off yellow and ugly. The hole for the cables in the back looks like it was chiseled it out with a screw driver! Very far from a quality product. It is stamped made in china all over the box. Includes a very informative instruction manual on computer paper crumpled in the box. The soft pad inside the owl for the amazon dot to rest on is poorly glued and has a very strong chemical odor. It does not sit as shown in the picture, sits well below the edge and hidden in the owl. The owl has chips and cracks that are visible from almost any angle. Would not recommend or buy again.

It's pretty, but the bacBFF For Alexa- Owl Statue Crafted Guard Station For Amazon Echo Dot 2nd And 1st generation Speaker,Jam Classic Speakerk is a millimeter or so off, which means if you have to plug it in (which is always) the Dot has to actually sit on the top and be crooked, because the whole in the back isn't tall enough to allow the plug in to fit, and let the Dot sit flat. (Hopefully that makes sense.) My husband has decided to chip away a little at the back to make it fit, but it's annoying we have to do that. It's worth it to us, to avoid the hassle of trying to find the original box post-Christmas, but I wouldn't buy it again with this design flaw.
