Just installed 2 door alarms for my garage fridge and freezer. The setup instructions were great and easy to follow. Everything is working as advertised and designed. I get audible alarms and a text message telling me the door is open with a description on which door is open. I believe this is a great product and should help me save lots of money in making sure the doors are closed quickly and don’t get left open by mistake.

Easy setup, no hub needed, and that beeping is LOUD (in a good way!) This door alarm does exactly what I needed it to do. Setup was refreshingly easy - no complicated hub to configure, no subscription fees to worry about. Just install it and connect to your phone. The best feature is the dual alert system. Not only does it send text messages and phone notifications when the door is left open, but it also has an annoyingly loud beeping alarm that you absolutely cannot ignore. And I mean that in the best way possible - that beeping will make sure someone closes that fridge door! No more coming home to spoiled food because someone left the freezer cracked open. The repeat alarm feature is great too. It doesn't just beep once and give up - it has repeat alarm that keep going until that door is closed. The adjustable time delay means it won't go off when you're just grabbing something, and you can set the volume (though honestly, you want it loud). For anyone tired of finding their refrigerator or freezer door left open, this is the solution. No monthly fees, no complicated smart home setup, just a reliable alarm that works. Amazing. Very helpful device. When it arrived I thought wow, a little pricey for this tiny thing. But I'm really happy with it now after install. The neighbors cat would spray in my garage whenever I would leave it open. My wife and I can be a bit forgetful and do just that often. This device will notify my phone whenever the door is left open (you decide for how long). I wanted 5 minutes and the setup only allows seconds but I just entered 300 seconds and that worked fine. Setup was actually a breeze and worked perfect first try. I initially setup for alarm after 10 minutes and only hitch was that when I decided to changer the settings to 5 minutes I had to detach the device and take it back inside close to our router to do so. But man I love this thing!! No more cat spray!!

we had a near freezer-tragedy which prompted the purchase of this door sensor. it is super simple to set up. there is a loud alarm the beeps when the door is left open (you can customize the timing if desired) an app that notifies you, and you can connect it to alexa for an announcement as well. all these are super easy to do. took me about 20 minutes from opening the box, to set up of device and various alerts, to writing this review. everything worked the first time without issues, glitches, or trying again. it comes with an extra tape strip for the larger chime. the tape is very strong but forgiving. i did have to reposition the chime once and the tape allowed for that without tearing. it is easy to use, seems loud enough without being obnoxious or scaring our pets. the push alerts to the phone and the alexa routine are nice backups to have in place. the app is where you can change the parameters for how long the door is open before the alert sounds. it has a device status monitoring screen that shows battery level, etc. this was a good buy, definitely way less expensive than the cost of replacing the food in there. its nice to have that peace of mind. rating a 4 only because i just set it up and tested it. no experience yet in the wild. would definitely consider buying more of these sensors for other applications like the house doors, the RV door and fridge.

The device started off great day 1, after attempting to extend the notifications for whatever reason the device would activate much sooner. Its a neat concept but considering it runs on a balance of 50 credits, i am at -7 with all the alerts after less than a month. I am unsure if i got a defective unit or what but its more of a hassle now to the point i removed my device from the app.

I like this thing a lot! We put it on our fridge to notify us whenever the fridge door opened. It works very well in that regard. For the first month you get unlimited text messages that your fridge door is open every time. After that I think they send you 10 text messages a month which is a little silly considering how often a fridge door opens and closes, but that's what they give you. You can set it for various applications, and adjust the sound level. It's very sensitive and accurate. It connected easily to my phone. I would recommend this device to anyone who needs something like it!

It works and amazing customer support! I’m glad I purchased this item. It will sound an alarm, then send you a text and announce on Google Home. I was having a little bit of an issue getting the new settings to sync, I tried the instant chat for help and somebody was helping me within 10 seconds. They were very helpful and were not simply an AI chat bot. No monthly fee. I’d recommend it.

Our freezer unfortunately sometimes swings shut but doesn’t close all the way so we have frozen foods that are no longer frozen. It’s been me each time so I decided to investigate getting a door alarm so this wouldn’t happen again. I settled on an Arka Doorsound Sensor after reading reviews and much study. Worked like a charm and even let you raise the db level on the alarm (for those that are slightly hard of hearing). I also have it text me. The texts are just that right amount of annoying that you have to obey. Then when we had issues with the alarm about a year later, Arka came through (24/7 like they said) and sent me a replacement (free of charge). They followed up and would have helped even more if I needed it. I’m sold and am now looking at their other product - ClimaNotify. Edit: when hurricane Milton came around, we needed a new router. I couldn’t figure out how to get things operational again, but within literally seconds of contacting the company, they fixed everything for me. It’s a great product with great customer service.
