Easy installation, if you have basic electrical skills, and works as advertised. It controls our pool pump via Alexa or our phones, using the Smart Things app. I did have to add a WIFI extender but, no problems with connectivity. Weather proof housing seems to keep it dry. Going on 3 years and no problems. Definitely recommended.

Works great, you need to have electrical knowledge to wire it properly. We replaced an air switch and solenoid with this unit because the air switch has been a continuous pain and unreliable. You can operate it with your phone with a SmartLife app or by the button on the unit. I didn’t like having my phone next to the spa so we added a wireless button switch so we can turn the spa on and off while in the spa. Overall this is a high quality product. It wired up just like a hot water heater would be wired in our adaptation.

I had to use a Wi-Fi extender to connect to my Wi-Fi modem at the other end of the house, but once I did, this works perfectly. I have it integrated in with Alexa and it responds to voice commands readily. The app is a little flaky in that when you create what the app calls a “Scene“, but what Alexa calls a routine, will disappear from the app. But if you just create a new scene and save it, all of a sudden, your old Scenes will all reappear. Just delete the temporary Scene you just created to refresh the list. I’ve tried all of the suggested fixes online of clearing the app cache, uninstalling and reinstalling the app, etc., and the problem persists but the good news is the routine still runs from the cloud, even if it doesn’t show up in the app. This timer saves me a lot of grief being able to turn my pool pump off and on from the comfort of my home. I have no idea why somebody would spend so much more on the more expensive options when this one works perfectly. It also has a convenient on off push button switch in the center of a big dial when you open the cover for manual off on capability. This replaced my mechanical Intermatic wheel timer in a metal box, which worked great but was just a pain having to go outside to make adjustments during different times of the year. Or having to turn the pump on if I had added pool chemicals to recirculate overnight when the pump schedule normally shuts off. My 220V connections to this device were exactly like my old Intermatic connections so electrical hook up was very simple. The schematics they provide in the box explain various electrical connection configurations, which was very helpful. I wish that schematic was included as part of the product picture description since it would’ve answered a lot of questions upfront. The new ABS plastic box is rugged, obviously not as rugged as steel, but no issues or concerns. If you’re switching from the Intermatic to this new box you will need to drill new holes for mounting because the hole positions in the back of this new box do not match the old Intermatic box. Not a big deal.

Pretty easy to install, flimsier than the old school Intermatic mechanical timer that I just replaced (after 37 years) but not horrible. Its slightly smaller so if you have rigid electrical conduit between boxes, you will have to move some stuff around but the openings are in roughly the same places. The openings for electrical are 3/4 with rubber grommets to pass either cables through or cut out to accomodate 1/2" conduit as I had. These rubber grommets are tight for 1/2" so you have to fight those a little. The app and programming are pretty simple and the control with schedules is working well so far. No way will I get 37 years out of this one but its OK.

Pool timer works great. Nice app that let's you turn off/on and set timer remotely . Lost connection after replacing router. Customer support was very quick to respond and sent new user manual so I could reset. Excellent product and customer service

It will die every 1.5 years. I bought twice in 3 years.

A well-constructed smart timer that can be installed indoors and outdoors. I installed it indoors and have been using it reliably for several months to manage my pool pump and chlorinator. The installation process was as expected. I followed the provided wiring instructions, and there was ample accessibility to make the necessary connections. The Smart Life app, used for operating this device, is user-friendly and intuitive. It enables the flexibility to toggle the device on or off, along with the option to configure timers, including countdown, scheduling, circulation, random, and synchronization with sunrise and sunset timings. The app also saves a 7-day history log for this timer. It's compatible with Alexa, Google Assistant, SmartThings and IFTTT. I have been using the integration with Alexa, which works well and enables voice control, scheduling, timer management and other routines. I'm happy with this product and have also ordered their low-voltage outdoor transformer to set up my landscape lighting.

My old mechanical timer for our water heater went out and I saw this one. It was actually cheaper than a mechanical replacement; but this one has wireless control. It’s so easy to create programs and even has 3rd party integration with other smart apps. I have some experience with electrical work but no formal training. This unit was pretty easy to install following the provided wiring guide. These types of connectors seem pretty robust and tight. It’s been about a month since I bought the first unit and I am completely satisfied. Update 11/5/23: Unit started to melt and short itself out. Pretty sure I did everything right. I have two of these units: one for my water heater and one for a battery bank that I charge for my EV. The water heater switch is doing good but this one just went bad. I’m going to have to go with a different brand for the replacement I think.

i installed this on my hot water heater circuit. this enables us to shut off the tank if we go away for an extended trip and allows us to turn the tank back on such that when we arrive home, our hot water is available without delay. installation was easy, wifi connection was easy and it is compatible with my existing Smart Life app, minimizing the need for multiple apps to control my devices.

Compact, easy to install and wire.

Works as promised, remotely control our electric water heater when we're away from our home for extended periods. Can't quantify any cost saving yet but we'll see.
