This is the solution I've been looking for. Extremely well thought out and built. Screwed right into a small tripod I wanted to use. It's wonderful to have a reasonably priced precision tool to use with my. new iPhone. Highly recommended!

This is my second smartphone holder from Ulanzi. Extremely well built with one great improvement from the Iron Man III ST-14 that I've had for a while, one nitpick, and one great disappointment. The great improvement is the more pronounced angle of the phone holder grip with rubber ridges - it holds a larger phone much more securely and is easy to lock into place without fear of the phone falling out. One nitpick - the pullout grip of the holder is so stiff that it is hard to pull open to put the phone in. Don't companies ever test these with women when they change the design? With a smaller hand and some arthritis, it is very difficult to actually get the phone into the holder. Once in, the phone is very secure but also a pain, literally, to remove. Finally, the disappointment. The description says that the Iron Man IV ST-27 has a standard Arca mount - not exactly true. I even double checked the description because the base in the photo looked small to me. My ST-14 has a standard Arca mount that also fits my tripod's standard Arca sleeve, an important reason for me to buy the newer model. The ST-27 has the small Arca mount, which won't fit my tripod unless I buy another plate or an adaptor, which is an extra expense and a pain because all of my cameras have the same Arca mounts for ease of interchangeability. I'm still debating on whether to return the ST-27 for those reasons. If these issues are not a problem for you, I would recommend the ST-27, but would encourage Ulanzi to be more specific in their description of the Arca mount size and to consider having women testing their products too.

This is a quality bit of gear. The design is great: I love the way that, once the jaws have closed over the phone, you can lock them in place: it makes it rock solid. I'm amazed that something made of metal and with this level of engineering can be made for this price. My previous holder was a similar looking Manfrotto, but this blows it out of the water. Clever design features like several cold shoe mounts make this very usable too. One note: on Amazon.com.au, this was sold as "PICTRON Metal Phone Tripod Mount..." however both the packaging and device are branded Ulanzi (which is what it should be. Don't let "Picton" throw you off). Finally, I saw some reviews saying that the device doesn't hold phones with rounded edges: hogwash - I am using it with an iPhone 11 Pro Max in a clear cover and it is clamped perfectly. in fact, I think Ulanzi are on to the perfect system here: something that both clamps and locks in place.

Got this to allow me to put S23U on a tripod. Its really high quality and works well.

I use this for my iPhone 13 Pro Max and it locks perfectly and rigidly into place (even with a case attached). The milled aluminuim is well produced with no rough edges. There are some threaded holes that you can fit extra stuff like small LED's or even an external microphone. Due to the qualiity of the product, should last some time. Great purchase.
